Awesome ! I was actually always curious to know how much some prods were without crinkler...
[troll]elevated, anyone ?[/troll]

Makes sense, but giving instructions to something someone with a little knowledge of PE files and the will to do it... just realease an automated tool for that.
I totally agree with xernobyl 100 percent. That said, this was well-done, but the idea alone isn't worth a thumb.
i'm missing the artistic aspect
cool!
hacking has always been an important part of the scene.

useful tutorial.
A tool will be not usefull...if someone dont know about PE files this tut is not for him....
@mueslee why you are seraching for artist aspect ? What do you are searching for ?
reverse engineering its a artist skill too !!!!

I do appreciate reverse engineering skills for useful purpose, this one at least at the moment is not.
Maybe when future Windows versions don't work with crinkler, then yes. Thumbs up for maybe getting a chance to preserve some intros in the future.

ciclope: reverse engineering is a creative process. exhibiting that skill by publishing a tutorial about it does not relate to the demo scene.

hey, since when tutorials can be uploaded to pouet? I agree with xernobyl, make a tool from it, then you can upload it to pouet... this is not a prod.
however, it would be nice to have an article section
yes, that would rock
thanks, this is really useful. it'd be cool to see a kkrunchy unpacking tutorial as well.
actually if wild category is ok without a party, this can be considered as a product (if funny stupid videos are ok, this one should be ok as well). But I'm not sure if wild products should or should not be accepted out of a party.
@skate you are rigtht !!!! they ar e so many stupid shit here :-O
i consider this as a seminar, like this one:
c64 Graphics Seminar which seems to be allowed on pouet.

Nice enough little tutorial, but really doesn't belong here, does it? + =
cool - also, the vids only 20Meg which is smaller than most demos these days.
reverse engeneering? ftw!
Considering that this crew appears to have serious problems with kickbanning sceners who join their irc channel, this may be the only way they have of presenting themselves.
Also, it's not like the Loonies guys aren't friendly enough to explain what to do with THEIR tool.

Basic stuff, lame video.
ok nice
Didn't have to mess with crinker yet, but I think it can be done more easily with ImpREC

4k intros that have been packed using Crinkler do not run on Windows 7.
articles-section on pouet would be very nice.. until then, put stuff like this on your own www like everyone else..
Microsoft is killing the scene :/
a brief glimp into hacking - great
>20 MB .swf - WTF?
Not what I call a good tutorial. "Start debugger, oh cool, unpacked in memory, find OEP, use tool xyz to fix the imports...". There are millions of "tutorials" like that. The only thing you "learn" here is how to set breakpoints and start some external programs, not much more. Besides, this is really basic stuff anyway.
And it doesn't belong here. Or should I post my "How to fix Ameeeeggaaaahh stuff" tutorials here too? I don't think so...

Wild demo? How very entertaining, *yawn*.
You have a web page, why not just link to it from the BBS..
