The FR guys told me they were disappointed this got 4th place - they felt it was too high :). It was made at the party when they weren't busy organizing.
And yep, it's just one factory scene, so don't get too excited about it :). They'll do better stuff this year, I'm sure of it.

This demo isn't really good. She get 4 place because of farbrausch name. This is only a 3d scene...

farb-rausch is coming for a gold (or so) - isn't it a bit exadurated? guyz, don't you wanna have some rest and try for example something similar to "konzum" to escape the 3d-stereotype you do and find yourselves again?
added on the 2001-05-29 06:16:41 by crs crs
3d stereotype? this is the FIRST demo of this kind we released, and certainly the last one (it was never meant to be like this).

to the ones who still don't get it: yes, fr-08 is a "3d flyby", but it's not a demo, and nobody involved in fr-08 was involved in THIS production. and, we aren't elitegroup either - again the same thing, not a single ex-elitegroup member was actively involved in this production (that means, except by contributing bugfixes to our demo system).

so, could you now PLEASE stop saying such RIDICULOUS shit? thanks.

A nice 3D scene, but that's about it. Not bat music though.

Nice artwork and sync. Although a lot of flatcube lovers hate it, I actually like this type of demo.

Excellent Farb-Rausch.
Is this sound file available for download like Fr-08?
Man Thats Nice : )

Weird, I don't know exactly what to say about this one.

Good objects, music, sync, etc...

But I don't think the US government would like it very much. Y'know, having the WTC, Empire State, and Sears towers in there, and then blowing one up... that whole thing was a little unexpected. Um... Yeah. I do realize it was made way before 9/11. Just don't blow anything else up, mmmkay?
eek. I'm surprised you're the first to mention that. It has a slightly different kind of shock value now than it used to :)

Hey? How could I miss commenting this?
This is rullator! Definitely a great progression of the music from the orchestral to the industrial, same goes for visual appearance.
Too bad that sometimes the engine messes up stuff (It doesn't even start with the original EXE, have to use a later version of FVS32), poly's dissapear at the BOOM scene... However, it still brings the feeling! Thumbs up up and away!

well, i thought it was ugly. the music sucked, and it was just plain boring.

Very Interesting but be careful what you create there are 1000's of visitors here everyday and some might take this a little serious after what happen to the WTC, Better yet I would have it removed from pouet and Kasparov as well
rulez added on the 2002-11-05 12:45:09 by Licht Licht
Licht: Yeah, let's give way to the political correctness. Let's remove this from Pouet. Let's edit E.T. and a dozen of other movies. Let's remove every text, every image, every piece of music and every animation that doesn't conform with the US-mandated left-wing-liberal softice mentality.

Nah, why stop here, lets remove all naughty or questionable words from our languages and call it .. hm... let's call it "newspeak"! And let's edit the history in a way that it's more harmless to the regime... we could found a "ministry of truth" or something responsible for it.

So everyone will live in total security and won't have to think about anything.

i dont get what could not be politically
correct about this one.
well there is some sort of "message"
in this demo, but there is no explicit
(positive or negative) rating of
the explosion or anything in it.
p.c. can be an issue when it comes to
prods like the crimson jihad stuff etc.

This was never my favorite FR release, but technically rock solid as most of their stuff.
added on the 2003-07-26 02:25:27 by Crest Crest
This so called 'fixed' version looks (according to the file dates) like the party version and doesn't work here. Also 'my' version with fvs32.exe from 9.5.2001 isn't working since DX9 installation.

seems this prod caused some problems. In a politically perhaps visionaer way. Nevertheless I was very surprised about that demo. A strange one.

typical 2001 3d-flyby, but a good one.

the first part of the soundtrack was unexpected, second part was perfect.

gives me a black screen. vid?
I got this forgotten FR release working, youtube link posted.

Compatibility mode: Windows XP SP2
dgVoodoo wrapper DLLs, Virtual 3D card
Choose 640x480 in the demo setup dialog for correct text/gfx size, but you can force a higher resolution in the dgVoodoo control panel and it will use it.
