incredibly beautiful ! compared to it, all previous "new" razor prods are nothing. everything fits well in this one, the gfx, the music.... a must-leech !

only thing that sucks is that is always on top (but it can be minimized, so it doesn't matter that much).

String sample abusement was disturbing. Great graphics though. Nice butterflies, not so nice falling leafs.

well, the tunes sound too midi-alike for my taste, but the graphics sure are great! love that painterly style and the colours.

oh, and there appears to be a glitch where your image for the month names appear, flickers on mine whenever i change track or mouseover any of the buttons, could be my comp tho.

The interface is just awesome. The music fits really well to it, being well-crafted (from a melodic/harmonic standpoint) and carrying deep feelings. However, I cannot identify with those feelings. Also, I found the tunes a bit weak on the sample side. Anyways: 1000 times better than other recent Razor1911 prods :)

This will be one of the most memorable music disk ever made! The graphics are beautiful as goes the music. I love the four season theme as it brings a contemplative atmosphere. Well done Razor 1911 it’s a classic!!! =)

uhh nice pictures! quite original concept and its small.. so far only pluses. but when it comes to personal matters i really cant dig this SOUND, it aint nothing like sound of sid, ay or amiga chipmods, some pc-midi-hybrid? too bad, some of the songs were kinda ok otherwise.

all in all, i will rather pull thumb outta my arse!

Code could've been better (the leaves and stuff had some disturbing pink lines around them, and the perviously mentioned always-on-top-that-wasn't-always-on-top-thing is a bit annoying), but otherwise, great work!

Somehow, this lay unlistened to on my harddisk for more than 6 months! A real classic production, beautiful gfx, tunes rule big time, only possible fault i can find is that it does indeed sound midi-ish now and then. A rework of some of the samples would make it totally perfect.

I wrote it before and do it again... Cool tunedisk, but guys, next time please consider to include the tunes in a seperate file. I had to rip the xm's in orter to listen to them on Linux.

Surprisingly non-annoying for chip-music (most of it, at least). I like the graphics as well (not to mention the little touch that it checks the system time to find out which month you're in at startup :-) ), and some of the songs are rather good as well. All in all a good music disk.

I got notice of this over the "ripoff" discussion about this musicdisc and the one called "autumn leaf". (autumn leaf is said to be a rip off).
Well I would say it this way: Marsmellow took a piece from the "Whispers-tart" and put their own candy decoration on it.
(Razor1911 musically simulates a hole year while Marsmellow just covers one autumn day)
I think you guys don´t have to worry about not being credited!
Your musicdisc is great and it is below your skill-level to discuss matters of crediting.
It's common that good ideas are copied or
developed further or changed!
Just look how many diffrent cars or handys are on the market ,they all share the basic idea but differ in many ways.
And no one credits Carl Benz or Gottlieb Daimler (Dunno who invented the mobile phone) today! =0P

The tunes catch exactly the mood of every month portraited! Great work! Joyful to listen to each tune!

The grafix are really cool! I like that style.

Hm ,I'm not able to judge coding but everything runs fine on my PC so it must be done in a good way. Nevertheless an ungratefull job coding a musicdisc cause most people don´t care about the coding for it's a music disc! =oP

Whispers belong to my all time favourites!
And it will run on my PC for a long time ,too.
To say what is better "whispers" or "Autumn Leaf" depends on personal taste.
I like both the same.
(Although whispers has the plus of more action on the screen while autumn leaf has 5 more tunes (dunno if the playtime is longer though)

just few reflections at the end of "autumn leaf" vs "whispers" discussion:

the first person who used seasons for his compositions background was antonio vivaldi.
did you credit him, razors? no.

the second person who used that idea to create his own scene production was phantom on c64.
did you credit him, razors? no.

so why the hell do you force skuter to credit you for "idea" which in fact isn't solely yours? you weren't first (and so absolutely original) who put together months and other tunes. shame.

whispers is still good music disk with melodic and charming melodies (as i've commented last time).

and what to say... it is great indeed, even after those 6 years when it was released! probably one of the most sentimental music collections over the whole demoscene. my favourite compositions are: janury, august and november.
