a great classic, to be seen and seen again
music sounds like early 90ies charts, but it's good :) the raytracing in the end is quite impressive, too. a real classic.

I remember talking to the coder on IRC once - I mentioned that no one would ever use NTSC because of the crappy limitations, having lived with them for so long and finally being able to use PAL - and he pointed out that going to NTSC gave you advantages in bits like that. And I was floored, cuz, I mean. I'd always seen it as a limitation, not anything beyond that... So, just for that alone, this rulez (:

This both looked and sounded beautiful. The nostalgia in this is strong: personally I had entered a new era in my life and this demo seemed to bring me to the new era of computing also. An era with more processing power, memory, colors, design, more everything. I know that this had started before, but this demo somehow represented the dreamlike reality of what computing had become. It was sad to let go of my youth, let go of the edginess and rough corners of the early demoscene.
But such is life. Plus I am very happy to see that the new era of the Commodore 64 still carries on.
