I give "OK" because actually it's not so bad and some effects are even really nice.
However I write is again: MAKE THE EFFECTS SHORTER. They are too long on the screen, additionally considering You haven't made any music for it.

I think it's quite easily the best one from Bits, no no thmb down this time. With a soundtrack it would be a thumb up even.

Hmm. I guess we all know the story of the boy who cried wolf, so the slating this demo's getting shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone. But still, people being eaten by wolves is bad, mmmkay?

So, for the benefit of the namevoters who didn't bother to watch this: Out of six ZX demos released at Forever, this is one of the *two* which contained an effect. And it has progression! It's not just a one-shot throwaway idea for the purpose of spamming Pouet with the least possible effort!

No thumb up from me, because it still feels like more of a programming exercise than an actual demo (yes, music would be a good start - so would a scroller, or greetings, or anything to identify it as belonging to this culture) so a thumb-up would just be a sympathy vote, which is just as bad as an auto-thumb-down. But it's a big step forward. Solo2: Keep going in this direction. And when you get there, change your nick, because you're sure as hell never going to get unbiased judgement in this place.

(Oh, and for people playing the 'commercial' card: Linux can also be bought for actual money, if you choose to. ZOMG!)

This was actually hilarious. Some wave effects and then suddenly a char image of heart, apple, etc with funny sounds, then effects. It's so random and strange and cute. Hahaha!!!

I once thought about changing my nickname. But I believe I will regret it. Because when you have it people remember you and they are biased. And you have to keep going, doing your best even if it feels bad. Will Solo2 evolve in doing the kind of demos we appreciate? I don't know but I am wondering how it would feel being in his state of mind.

Btw,. have you tried to reset (ALT+F2 on emul) during the demo? Fun!

Paralax: I just don't get why the existence of a *voluntary* payment model (on some website that probably hardly anyone visits) should affect how you judge a demo. Yes, in my judgement this program has no commercial value at all, but if some deluded Charles Saatchi type feels the urge to pay for it, then why shouldn't he?

At this point I'm considering putting up a crappy joke web page where people can buy my demos, just for trolling purposes. Would the existence of that page suddenly make all my demos suck? What about if it was just a general 'donate' button instead? Or a bit of text saying "if you like these, buy me a beer at Breakpoint"?

Anyhow, I don't see Solo2 advertising (on Pouet) the fact that he's accepting payment for this. The only person advertising that is you.

gasman: the BITS act as a whole including the website with its donate/pay full version buttons are just that very lame and pathetic that repaying these trolling attempts by reacting is my way to say: "good job, I can really hate it."
