white rectangles and boomboom music that stopped after ~5 seconds, is it just me or your code is broken?
looked nice at the party.
i guess its raymarching with distance functions.
but somehow fucks up on my machine. i sometimes see the objects, somtimes not.
Win XP, NVIDIA 7950GTX

so slow but nice things
yez!
not vista friendly
...not vista friendly? Here is my thumb! ;)
well .. yeah .. seems to run only on nvidia cards :(
runs odd.. weird offsets and crap, dunno if that was intended..
runs fine on my xp/gf9800gtx
runs like crap on my vista craptop (gf9300).. just white flashing and sometimes an object :D

Da haette man etliches mehr draus machen koennen.
Titten?
big boom boom at 5fps :(
DOESNT RUN ON WINDOWS 7!
i didn't like it, but i wont thumb it down :-)
music was a quick party hack, but we had some fun :D
Nice. The hacky music is nice :)
Ok for a bigscreen prod
yumeji: nVidia here, and doesn't run properly.
from what little i have seen, this can be done in 4k.

RTRT for teh win (though a bit slow for what it does, i think)
(oh and music rulez, of course :))
can someone provide video? :)
You have copied the things iq said in this thread pretty well!
Runs here (XP32/4850), but VERY slow and with some long breaks in the begining (like gargaj said, he is just less patient/has a slower cpu ;) .. and with the gpu activity at a solid 0%... I would have guessed it to be cpu rendered (and still slow).
Doesn´t work, either (XP SP3; GF6600)
:(
:(
nice shader.
Ces't bon!
nice
does it's job
uhhh guise... bouncing dead-centered objects and screen flashing
some camera moves and interesting angles please. wouldv made this much better

hooray for utter boredom. if it would have been 4k ok, as a 64k it just totally:
I approve of raytracing, but not so much of extremely sucky music and repetition.
:\ what StingRay said
well, its raytraced. otherwise crap.
What las said but as it borks my PC to hell, a piggy this time.
what p01 said
good stuff. if you guys had more time this could have been really awesome.
i only see random artifacts and nothing happens. Radeon HD2600XT here.
Boring visuals, decent techno soundtrack.
pressed ESC.
Yay!
As far as I can see it's not realtime, but just a (relative) few frames calculated in the precalc - that also explains the repetition and greyscale versions etc.. and the reason for the sucky framerate. Content more 4k like, but being a party release saves it.
Saga: update your drivers :)

i should have made it more clear in the nfo: THIS DOES NOT WORK ON ATI.
it absolutely needs a gf8600gt or faster for any kind of halfway decent framerate (the party version was made for the compo machine which had a gf8800gtx).
as gopher guessed right, this is realtime raymarching with distance functions done in a pixelshader. there is no gfx precalc (only shader compiling).
a bugfixed version will probably follow sometime.

hehe ok.. my findings when looking into it:
-framerate is about the same on the 8600m and and the 4850
-basicly no gpu activity on the 4850
-visuals the same, maybe except some wrong viewports
-all shaders compiles fine.
-the viewport changes in the beginning are smooth on the 8600 and not on the 4850, which also hangs a bit (not related to the precalc, just info)
-replacing the shader to a fast dummy shader (visualing viewdir) means :
*much faster precalc
*same framerate
*still greyscale'd parts
..so the conclusion seemed pretty obvious :)

finally never won the 64k compo

This intro makes me think of how technology is used.
10 years ago (or more) we had this intro http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=1606 , really similar to Objektgeballer 3, but now we need a geforce8600 to watch it.
10 years ago we needed just a 486.
The result? To me, it's the same.
I'll buy a geforce8600 when they'll add at least two more spheres (IFLIC had 10 :)

what kb said... It would have been a nice 4k intro, but still I like the mzk, the rithm and the overall experience.
Looks like reverse-engineered slisesix, added noise, added music, added animations, and changed the contents a bit. If you're copying, at least bring in something new.
Nice visuals, annoying music.
IFLIC was nice but can't be compared because of much lower resolution :)

nah. got boring after 10 seconds.
for the sync

Ten years ago, you needed at least a P200MMX or so for something with half the vertical and horizontal resolution.
Anyway, this thing works as advertised ("Objektgeballer"), but is surely not something to write home about. :)
good sync but not great
now that i have seen it, i am now sure this could have been done in 4k or hell even smaller.
crap
Schnitte gefällig?
Should have been 4k or maybe psycho was right and its not real time.
would make a really good 4k, but still very stylish and sync'y
crap
looks like 4k but it does the trick for me
