I hate video captured demos. Demos should be realtime, right? I want to thumb this prod down for that sole reason, but I'm not that childish so I go for piggy instead. I really want to see this demo in realtime but I don't want to buy a new OS for it...

I really like the mood and the look of the opening scene! That's really cool.

I watch vids if i have too, doesn't bother me. But...erm, unless i'm missing something obvious i see no reason for that to be DX10 :/ Something quite nice about the demo(tune was nice and relaxing) though, but still it can only be a piggy.

didnt much like the visuals or the music ( and i thought my vocal samples were bad :D ), seems quite unfinished design wise, however it does have an ambient quality to it that could've been explored and indeed resulted in a quite cool experience.

Please, stop the comments about DX10. I get it. Try MPlayer with native H264 support, if you still want to watch it.

As if it was some paid work to make demos. I wanted to try this new API, I liked it and made a demo. Like Zest said "flaming DX10 is so 2007".
Nobody's flaming DX10 per se. It's just that with the whole "Vista only" thing projected against the shitty market share of Vista, it's a bit childish to go "so 2007" on people's asses.

I have nothing against demos-as-videos since it's becoming less and less meaningful for a demo to be realtime, unless there's something really that-cannot-be-done-realtime stuff. Most demos don't have it, and neither has this.

Nothing to justify the use of dx10 (well, except perhaps the coders' preference, which I can understand), and I had to download a new player just to watch the video!

By far the best Brainstorm demo. I just love the slow progress and mood in this demo. The different parts are not shown unnecessary long.

I can see the concept in this, at some points I had the impression that a transition would follow/should have followed, but it wasn´t there, maybe for deadline reasons. Anyway, I liked the music, and as I tend to be a couchpotatoe myself (10 minutes a day), I sofathumb this up.

Some great visuals and pleasing colors. Nice effects too. Minimalistic flat landscape that also reminds me oldschool demos.
so, dx10 and highend gpu for just flatshaded and dull scenes.. music didnt kinda lift up the excitement either so piggy it is.

people should stop bashing dx10 only. i mean it's tough enough whipping up something and we'll be all transitioning that way slowly anyway. and that aside, doing a proper dx9 impl includes a lot of trivial crap code thats just not worth the time if you dont have it clobbering up some of your hd space already.
