For me this is much much better than atrium. Yeah iq, I didnt get the time to finish it. Anyways, I doubt mine was going to turn out this good. Love it. Colours are just right and I love the oldskool chess board reflections :-) Not to mention the sound! Good grief. For me best 4k of the year - yet to see fairlights though :-)

guardian: most likely just spheres post processed to look like metaballs. I've been doing similar stuff lately, but with 'metacubes' (it's not really any different). I'd stuggle to do it in 4k though, and no way with sound, so big thumb up :)

Buckethead: you can't just rename a DLL and expect it to work. :) Just download it from here http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_36 and put it in the same DIR as the intro, or even better, in c:\windows\system32

Hilarious! Probably they weren't even spehres, more like sprites rendered in screen space with normals + z and stuff (as in "screen-space meshes" paper I guess). and 4Ks really seem to benefit from great direction! First place I guess, gratz!

The effect is cool, the music/synth is also v cool, but the direction is horrible :( The camera shakes are too strong. The camera paths/positions aren't attractive. The reflection level on the floor is way too high. And the explosion of balls should have been used more than once.
I'll save the thumb for the final version.

Wow! this sure looked nice. Couldve been more attractive with better cameras and a softer ending though. The explosion looked great but was too short and the ending was too abrupt. Stretching the explosion effect a bit and adding a slow fade out would've made the whole thing more tight imho.

Too much - we couldn’t get it under the size limit with this feature. It was my number one request during the making of the intro (I should stress I was not part of the core team on this; I just helped out for the final stretch).
