Infinity had rock-solid design - a consistent theme in each part, and some kind of transition between each one. But the music and gfx were pretty simplistic, making the whole thing end up looking like a really cool high school science video :). Still, check it out if you never have.

I have loved it in 1996
Me too!
One of the best demos to come across the atlantic. Didn't really have a visual punch, but in design it really shone.
note: I have vivid memories of seeing this in april or may 1996, are you sure about that date phoenix? ;)

Quite sure. :) NAID was May 31st-June 2nd, IIRC. I bet you're thinking of Window to Oblivion, which was a preview for Infinity.
I'll give into peer pressure and give it a thumb.

Weird. I remember watching this demo repeatedly while skipping lesson after lesson at the Academy of Arts (~april 1996) :)
some of the visuals are disturbingly awful, and so is the music. i guess the cultural differences really show here. it's really *different*. not badas a whole, but why the hell do they insist on calling these demoNSTRATIONS?
Cool ants. ;)
Extremely cool Demo with Lots of cool Effects and smooth transitions in between.
What shifter said. Forerunner for more modern demo design, plus some of the parts look really, even with the limited palette.
Concept is pretty solid. This is unfortunately lacking nowadays.
nice
I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would. There's something charming about the presentation (or demonstration) as a whole that oozes how the creators must have been very proud of their demo even though it may not pack the most cutting edge cool visual effects for the time (okay, those shadows are pretty cool). I mean it starts and ends more like a movie than demo for starters. Good transitions, coherent theme and well directed music keeps it together nicely despite some of the more questionable scenes like the one with white schematic drawings against dark background. Somewhat reminds me of Classika by Renegade.
