Really enjoyed it. The scene maybe could've been made a bit more polished/complex/textured/whatever

This is totally underrated imho. Nice syncs, cheesy music, not too bad effects, everything a good production needs. On the stream it was one of my favourites!

Starts off very well, has instant atmosphere but can't keep it up. Still, it's nice to watch and it's certainly underrated.

This started up so promising, I was getting ready to witness a great demo and concept. However it didn't evolve on the idea and didn't take advantage of its momentum. It could have been something awesome.. but..

Funny little character this mr light... but there is something I didn't like in it, maybe the colours or the textures. It just looked so 1996...

Nice demo! I especially liked those interlude scenes (eg the greetings). Music and gfx are fine. My only gripes: the "dancing scanline effect" was very irritating.
I think it's insane that this places so low, but let's face it, a group like Anadune will never win BP because of all the scene politics and friendship voting.
I agree with the above comment that the scanline effect was irritating, but otherwise a really impressive demo with great style, nice direction and a cool soundtrack. Superb!

I agree with Wade, I thought it was ridiculous that this was shown so early on in the running order. I haven't actually watched it since the stream though so I'll reserve my thumb.

what hardware do you have?
Very cool and nice concept. (Didn't care for the bass effect though, truth be told.. Got distracting since it was in the entire thing)
It was on a netcafe. I don't know the hardware. Now it works in another one. Maybe it works at home computer too.

so underrated. and played so early in the compo - im afraid you basically got screwed by that.
liked the cute music, the ideas, and the little details - like the guy's wire hands.
criticisms:
- the 3d scene looked too flat and a bit simplistic - could use some more contrast and e.g. shadows.
- seemed a little bit lacking in content - i dont really dig the idea of jittering the camera and some of the boxes to the music as a way of replacing on-screen action :)
but still, really underrated.

i appreciate the attempt for doing something character driven. however, i find the animation rather clumsy, the direction/narration uninspired, the music cheesy and the in-between fx sequences (of which some looked pretty neat) completely detached from the rest. pigface.

Maybe to make the compo more interesting? Having all the not-so-good demos in the beginning and all the good demos in the end makes for a dull show.
that's what i kept thinking too. part of it was a good idea, but it was a bit of a sacrificial lamb then.
ok demo, unfortunately destroyed by the flat textured, unshaded, very bright and rather bland world around mr light. The ending was very sloppy to. Fade out, an image (wtf), fade out again ?
i think the dull camera movements ruined it. Could have been more playful and better if you have just the cool objects in the world. Some good effects as well, but really lacks the final touch (also known as tweaking).

Po anadune spodziiewam sie klasy i teraz tez sie nie zawiodlem... Fajne demko z super muzakiem i kliamcikiem, jeno wkurzaja mnie dwie sprawy: scenka kiedy zarowek idzie i zanim plynie ten kabel jest cholernie z zeszlego wieku, i troszke za duzo wszystko "skacze". Ale podoba sie mi i tyle. IMHO powinno byc wyzej.

little short on content and the transistions between the mr. light and effect scenes were pretty unconnect. But the soundtrack rules and the execution of the effects themselfes rules. Pretty cool stuff.

mr. light is cool. but the things he does are a bit... pointless. also, why do you call it 60 seconds when the demo is longer than 60 seconds? sorry but that's just... pretty stupid. :)

Nice demo and excellent music.
Demo is okish - the movement from the light bulb looks great, but the rest of the surrounding scene looks a bit too static/simple to me.

I'm not a fan of models walking around and I must confess that I enjoyed the little scenes between the walking more. They just looked better. But the nice music saves it from a piggie :)
