Real nice, great techniques, loved the donut cut shot. Only part that didn't fit for me was the rigid body sim part.

Haven't ever seen or imagined anyone would put so much perfectionism into simple donuts...
Still, reviewing at home shows tiny little imperfections worth ironing out. ;) Or were they just left as a bait for future competitors?

I'm so glad you liked it :D
I'm sorry about the quality, you don't really have time to concentrate on aliasing sampling or render-resolution when you have to complete almost 5 minutes of animation in 19 days, I tell you that!
So what we have here is 960x540 resolution frames with quite a crappy quality in them as well, so I can't see a point making a h264-compressed mkv of this clip.
Also, our next prod will also be released as 960x540, I'm pretty sure (not entirely, however). The rendering time just adds very much time for the making of the film. Even though now we have about 4-5 months of time on it with a 9-person team :) But make sure you don't miss it. Assembly'08 is going to have a blast, I hope.
Also, take into account that Felor had a huge impact into this donuts-film.
He:
- made the Hornet-model
- animated the flying donut
- modelled, rigged and animated the froggy-character with the flying donut scene
- animated the donut-transition turnaround
- did the layout and animated the donut-making factory scene.
- modelled and animated the spoon and the cup
I could never got this done in 19 days without him.

Now that we have 3D printers, could we print those donuts - and nom them?!
Probably the most even and well rounded longer HBC prod, and in that sense their best. It's not completely consistent as far as the theme goes, but every part has the same feeling, which is enough for me.
Definitely deserves the thumb up.
