nice synth engine. "warmer" sounding than protracker chipmods. tommy/avena used it iirc.

featured a gazillion effect cmds (~50!) + simultaneous arpeggio cmd + 62 instruments while still maintaining the 4 bytes per channel pattern size (known from soundtracker).
my 2nd tracker :)

Tommy's tunes are uber-awesome. Would love to hear something new in .aon format!

I had two approaches to this, but the result was 2:0 for the tracker (FM Synth especially) ;)

Though "third time lucky" they say :)

I thought it's Musicline Editor, looks similar.
BTW is Musicline Editor related to the scene (made by sceners)?

rutra80: Yes it was made by sceners actually. I was made by Conny and Christian Cyréus (Twins of Phenomena), me Jimmy Fredriksson (Firefox of Phenomena), John Carehag (Ziphoid of Razor 1911).

It was mostly me nagging Conny and Christian about doing a chip sounding tracker but with all the bells and whistles of extra sample functions. Christian was making music and Conny did not but loved music so I guess they was up for the challange. Back in the days I borrowed Uncle Tom's Roland Juno 106 and used the sample window to see what happend with the sound when applying pulse width modulation and filter etc. Then I explained what happend to the sound to Conny and Christian. We basically had a non professianal approach to it and functions in todays wavetable synths and plugins have the same function. I'm not saying we came up with the idea for many of the functions back in 1991 when we started the project. We where just not aware of it nor had the knowledge about how to do it. We just had ideas and made them. But since Clavia, Propellerhead and Electron was interested in the program I guess we had some cutting edge ideas :)... Commodore also wanted to sell the software with the Amiga but it was too advanced and not user friendly to the common user. My only regret is that we did the program too hard to use. I may be to blame for this :(... When you're young you do not always make the right choice. Our thought was this was not for the average user.
