hmm nice design, bit tooo much filter over the nice H2o gfx....

Great music, good looking (almost "traction-like") movement and colors, but the water-filtering was overused.
gives me a nice black screeen with a lonely pixel in the lower left corner (radeon 9800). music sounds nice. ;)
That was great! Vame the tunnel was in my opinion the best I've ever seen. The whole shiny look really appealed to me. If I had one criticism its that the screaming faces dont fit with that style of music but otherwise I loved it.
I love it, especially the tunel.
Mac port? :)
yeah, the best tunnel :P I dunno why but I think to BioShock
This one rocks big time, nice design and very nice music - enjoyed this a lot :)
Hmm, I had this as the compo winner - looked great on the big screen.
I really enjoyed this, thanks for making it :-)
once again, a big step up, vame :)
beautiful in every aspect!
There is room for improvement on the framerate side (quite slow on my 6600 GT) and the layers are a bit messy sometimes but cool prod nevertheless.
Also, "Chromag." \o/

yeah
Luscious colour experience and a beautiful track. Good job.
yeah, some cool scenes in this demo. I like the "silver city" and the following "thing that rotated too fast to be recognized".
the watery scenes are gorgeous, the design seems inconsistent but overall i like it a lot
Nice demo, logo's is very kewl
there's something about the whole vibe that's just causes the thumb to raise.
A little slow on my computer (I'm not complaining for a 3.5 years old laptop)
That second in the tunnel (great credits btw) where the camera goes underwater and everything blurs is a great demoscene second ;)

DIGITAL SYMPHONY \o/
nice sound production but this prod felt completly soulless to me. complete lack of direction on most of all the effects shown. the greetings tunnel look good but the rest feels like talent missused..
Sweeeeeet.
Nice mood!
nice gfx - produces a good feeling ...
Strange effects, almost Adaptish. And what gargaj said.
video ?
Nice demo. Glad to finally see the whole thing without any heads in the way :-)
beautiful like a dream.
Chromag: Great soundtrack!
Chromag: Great soundtrack!
One giant step forward for vamecum and crew and
"Ett skritt til venstre" for the rest of us ;^)
"Ett skritt til venstre" for the rest of us ;^)
The usual high quality gfx and sfx. Nice effects too, some a bit strange indeed but looked cool, greetztunnel was very nice. Maybe a bit short demo though (?) Definitely a thumb up!
Yep, something seems to be missing and some screens are too slow here, but the glittering, the colors, the sound, I enjoyed it overall.
Wow! this was actually really good! Consistent and nice graphics and cool effects. Somewhat original visual style too. Huge step up for vame, keep it up :)
Left me with a good feeling....really enjoyed the music. Abit slow though.
Nice music , nice visuals.. thumbs up ..
what a nice demo, i really like the soundtrack. thumb.
I like the tunnelpart and the going under the water ending of that part. Nice logo, but most of the effects is to messy. A piggie.
toller soundtrack timm!
p.s. fuck you!
p.s. fuck you!
Some brilliant stuff in here! Great track by Chromag, and the watertunnel and shiny city is nice. I'm not too keen on the 2d, and it is made
worse by the filters. Why oh why? No problem thumbing this though. Keep'em coming Vame!
ps: aw come on...

really wonderful soundtrack! and some nice effects'n'gfx. + what virgill said.
Sorry h20, I just realised why the 2d graphics looks a bit bleh. They magically got piped into the glow-process.
This fix will probably come with the mac port in a couple of days.

I dig the tunnel-part, it shows what you're capable of doing!
the rest is way to messy for my taste, you got the code, you got the artist, and you're always getting better and better. I'll hold my thumb for the fix!

The beginning was very promising. So I little dissapointed to the too static and bit empty look of the rest of the stuff.
But, some shaders looked very good, music was ok but quite usual, so it balances to piggy. Although there seems to be potential to be much more.

really nice music, but the tunnel was the only thing that looked ok
Nice music!! :)
Anyway, after seeing the demo which is very nice, I had this thought: why not work longer on this demo make it longer and better , fine tune it etc.. And than release it at bp08..
But on the otherhand KG got supported now.. Nice competitorsfield on a party like this..
Hope to see more demos from Rebels in 2008
Thumb

Relaxing ambience
Really beautiful! It's a pity that the last effect ("Rebels" forming a grid) was so short - that one looked very interesting. My favourite demo from the compo!
I am looking forward to the mac port :)
I like a lot the good mood of this demo. Astounding visuals with high complexity provided by an intelligent use of shaders, works decently in my Radeon x1600, multiplatform, great music but still some unpolished scenes!
This demo deserves a final version with a little more work, just a little, and it will be perfect :)
Take special attntion to the tunnel with characters in the water, too fast, small or wathever to read
Congratulations! :)

no clue about the code, but i really think you guys need a designer. i don't know, have the graphician sit next to you while you code the effects, or something. for me, the horribly ugly colours and completely saturated effects (too much happening at the same time to be able to actually see any of it) kind of ruined the demo-experience.. not bad in general though, so piggie.
The effect in the screenshot was my favourite scene - the rest was not so good.
The one that looks like an xray I mean
quite nice scenes, felt a little too detacthed, easily worth a rulez though and you can't help but adore it as it's all pulled together by the delightful sounds of chromag :)
shhh... (Keito: Thanks mate, now you'll get all the beer I promised for that comment :))
hehe i wont forget that now chromag! =)
Really nice mood!
music is very smooth and most scenes look quite nice. only some parts didnt really fit the overall experience.
I already thumbed it up - but wanted to drop a comment because I just ran it within my linux environment ...
As nice as on my Win32-Box but the sound stucks somewhat here and there ... :|

Yeah, the sound stuttering happened on my laptop-linux as well. Don't know what it is. It was even worse when it streamed from disk, so I made the linux version load the song into ram.
so, now i watched it sober and remember it..
visuals are not my style, but the soundtrack is great.
still, thanks for making this year one of the most serious democompo years ever at kindergarden :)

For a first attempt this is good and deserves a thumb. Dump the in-your-face lens flare and and tie the scenes together better.
I hope your next demo will be a little less like a flyby. From what I can tell you coded the demo and did the gfx. The gfx were good but it looks like too much work for one guy to model and texture all this stuff as well as coding the engine. Spend more time on coding effects and less time on building environments.
It's more impressive to model and render a matchbox so it looks photorealistic than it is to render a space station that looks CG. Keep it simple and cool.

What the fuck i commented on the wrong demo. Comment was meant for Coredumped's demo.
This one is pro and deserves the thumb. Sorry!

Haha, nice one Insectecutor!
seriously cool music in that one. its a bit short.
råcks!!
Weird, I somehow feel that I shouldn't like this, but I do. Some nice effects, great tunnel, and the tune and h2o gfx rule. Big thumb up :)
Awesome. The mp3 is definitely a keeper..
quite lovely!
nice!
A really really nice demo. What stands out the most is the absolutely gripping track by Chromag. A true beauty that can stand on its own, no matter what. I'm glad that Chromag is back for good (*sings the Take That song in the background*)
Not bad, but not enough for a thumb up.
Nothing really special but the final logo was nice looking. Too hectic reclection thingie :)
nice one. the style is ok, but not as hot as what other pc crews cook up from time to time. the music is a little too 80's "synthesiser greatest" (i grew out of that a bit..)
i really liked the good use of bumpmapping and the 3d crosswords (showed way too short imho).
keep on going :) (and cheers for the linux support)

great music, but what hollowman said
doesn't work on ATI x700 mobile:
black screen - music plays.

k+
tune is lovely :D
Now with mac support thanks to Pontscho from fresh!mindworkz :)
FINAL SOURCE PLZ!
oh yeah!
this definitely SHOULD HAVE WON!
ace chromag soundtrack, great gfx by h2o as always, and good code
(rocking tunnel scene and "rebels at kg"-scene)
kudos!

how about fixing the win32 version first before making ports to other OSs?
Video looked nice but a bit simplictic..

Good vintage, sweet aroma, hangs on the glass like treacle
j-ar , the win32 compiled version in the zip which now also contains mac-port should be updated. It contains a small fix to a bug which caused the overlays to be piped into the glow, and also a fix to a bug which caused the rain in the rain-scene to read from the scene-texture but also draw itself to the rain-texture. in effect, drawing and reading from the same texture. (very undefined) :)
Refreshing with a demo that doesn't have too much crossfading effects. Nice and smooth on my Macbook Pro.
nice all in one (gfx+zix+code), one more time RBs own the scene :)
Hmm... Didn't run too smoothly on my MacBook. Had about the same frame rate as that screenshot gif... evil, do you know something I don't...?
Nice tune from chromag, though. :)
Nice tune from chromag, though. :)
Nice flyby, positive music. Thanks for mac OS X support!
for sure this one rulez big times, and i nominate it for "Best DEMO" ;-)
up for the 'rainy' atmosphere. a bit too heavy at the end.
looks fresh and i like the audio - visual sync :)
Great stuff, and kudos for the OsX support. (and special kudos for the PPC too)
The scene changes don't seem as smooth as they should be, at least here, but the overall feeling is great!

it has some great visuals, especially the water tunnel. i also liked the music, but all together it is too messed for my taste. maybe a bit slower moving and developing of effects could fit better to the music.
yes (the glitches...)
Crashes on my not so hot Dell Optiplex 745 (allthough gl accelerated games etc do work).

What linux distro is this? I've only tested it on ubuntu 32 and 64 bit.
It seems like it's png that's crashing. is it possible to find out which png it tries to load, or would you need an executable compiled with -g for that?

The visuals were beautiful, but I don't care how good your shaders are; centered rotating objects must die! The music is awesome, though, so I'll give this a piggy.
fucked up my mac book 2.2GHz + Leopard...stucked after 2 minutes
lovely
exe gives me fucked up colors screen and crash to desktop. PC (X1650XT)
looks a bit unfinished
what ALiEN said.
me & my subwoofer are satisfied with the tune :)
Lovely music, nice 2d gfx and cool effects.
Works perfectly on the distro Enlisy.
I liked it alot actually. Both the music, the visuals and also the design is very nice.

nice art in here but the effects and filters are simply ugly and boring. and i've seen a coder tree in it!
Thanks for a great demo which ran flawlessly on my system. Not many demos does. (Ubuntu 7.10 64-bit. Dualscreen, desktop effects, Fullscreen 3360x1050)
Good work but i think the resolution could be a bit higher.
puh-leez.
Very good work, excellent music. Thank you for Linux port!!
that tune is BASSedelic (]^_^[)
cool
Linux 64 bit version, or sources PLEASE!
there has been reports that you must turn of vista's aero to make this run on vista. I've turned that shit off long time ago, so I failed to catch that bug/feature.
a regular cool demo :)
cool tunnel.. rest is"just ok" imho
+music

Only one request though - add a call to SDL_ShowCursor(false); please :)

quite boring
watched this sober now, seems like its some nice stuff in there, but the colors where too dark imho not suitable for the tune. some effects where too unconsistent, i would tumbed it up if it wasnt for all of this. but great work, and keep improve your skills!
yesssssss
Cool!
Nice.
love it :) Great song by Chromag
Excellent music adds a really nice mood to this prod! Tunnel-traction effect is beautiful too.
It's very nice.
where to get osx port?
Nice demo - really great music and watery effects!
