Has a fairly common bug where it doesn't work when Windows' language is set to Chinese codepage. Changing the language requires a reboot..

I already thumed up for this great demo. (I saw it on Demoscene.tv during TUM) But if I start the exe file of this demo, nothing is happening... P4, 1Ghz Ram, ATI X1950... no error message, no black screen... somebody has an idea where the problem is?

Complains about missing DLL at runtime, so I had to download that (d3dx9_36.dll). Picture jitters and there seem to be some z-buffer/sorting-error, since I see through all objects on screen. It didn't use the full screen in 16:10 mode (even though I set it to), and the errorlog has six or seven lines like this one:

Excellent 3D, and pretty entertaining to watch. The scene with the kebab in the oriental tunnel was most awesome.
big fun. especially the singing kebab scene was excellent. speckdrumm has this incredible talent doing FUN products without being trashy and "lol"-like.

quite awesome, too bad the funny twist kinda doesnt make this challenge groups like FLT or FR, eventhough technically and artistically i think you peeps actually can.

That way everythings works fine and I still have antialiasing... this works with a lot of demos causing trouble with Geforce 8XXX cards, you might give this a try...

actually just managed to watch this and it is an excellent production. And I like the music too !
by the way, if you speckdrumm people are reading: what modelling program did you use to make the last model of the kebab-man (stavros kebabylon). Also: Is that effect at the very beginning (with the 2D) a new one ? I haven't seen that before. I wonder what is it..
navis: I used Zbrush 3.0 for that one. The effect is generated by the use of a relax modifier with animated iterations in 3ds max; the guy without a face in the intro is actually a 3d model.

They way I would do it is by recursively apply a 'diffuse' operator onto the original figure (which would be an image in black and white), then for each iteration do a threshold and a 'vectorize' (into a 2D model). This would normally take some time though (around 10 secs or so for 100 iterations). Is that how you do it ?

Navis: that would be the clever code-it-yourself way we did not approach :) The face in our demo is nothing more but a vertexsampled multi-material (black/white) mesh.
Paralax: I didn't realize when I met you in Vienna that you are associated with Speckdrumm ! My respects. Your group is quite unique - I have enjoyed every production that I have seen so far.
