Although there is not that much going on, this sure looks awesome! Great modelling (only the goth girl in the end looks a bit low poly) and surprisingly relaxing music that I instantly loved!

Very beautifully rendered and nice laid back music. Minor setbacks though: a) the relatively low-poly- and low-animation-ness of the characters and b) the emotional disconnection between the visuals and music starting from the city part.

Not the best Cocoon demo indeed, those 2D layers were quite ugly, they don't fit at all with the rest of the demo and kind of ruined the nice 3D scenes.

Aside from that.. I liked the spinning ball thing behind the greetings. Also, I appreciated that you sometimes used the DoF in a subtle way instead of always making it really strong (as people often tend to do).

this sucks! no oldschool references, no cheap entertainment or crowdpleasing, it doesnt keep my goldfish-like attentionspan occupied, there's no nice code in it like fractals nicked from paul bourke (great looking, modern 3d engines, 3dscene handling and rendering techniques dont count as good code!), it's too big (graphics in demos should just be cubes or generated shit! then it could be 64k!), doesnt run on my c64.. it's clearly shit!

willbe did the music and the 2d layers.. for the rest we paid 25 idian programers and 78 moldavian graphician to work for us.

i think this was the overall best demo in the compo, but it has no real climax, which makes it kind of hard to remember after a while. still, here goes my thumb!

Possibly the best thing to come out of this demo is that Nytrik is pissed off about the rankings and may lay us all out for slaughter at BP.

my personal favourite, watched these guys put so much work into this at the party place right until the last minute. anyway, that aside its a great demo and i wish you a productive and happy future :)
well ... i really want to like this one as anyone else does. just for the fact that it has 'cocoon' written on it. unfortunately i can't, really. must be that dusty, oldfashioned aftertaste, i can't get over with. except for both the 2d intro and end pic: they are top-notch. but a robot holding a nude girl in its palm? please ...

Some scenes had that vibe of being Coma on the dancefloor without the banding glitches and a new colourscheme, *and* it tickled me in the good way. I disliked the way the overlays almost constantly looked like nearest neighbour scaling gone wild. If that could be fixed, the demo would be a pretty nice piece of work all over.
best from evoke 2007, till now. tough the music was also not so good, but it fitted well.

My first on this party
The 3d artwork was good and it had a nice depth of view. The sound was ok but finished too early? (only watched the video). Because it was overall too boring and because I didn't like the overlays too much, i can't say it rulez (unfortunately).
A fine demo. The second half is much better than the first. Not the best from cocoon (raw confession would be that) but still miles away from the demo that came second (that one with the tetris or something..)

i think the "little girl" is _very_ out of place and would do a lot better in another demo. Same thing with the music. (in a yet another demo, not in the one with the girl). Has a lot of nice things as well though.

This has so much nice (3D) graphics that it's really painful to see how many things are just wrong. nothing really seems to fit, the soundtrack doesn't fit at all with anything in the demo, neither the graphics nor direction. the jaggy aliased overlays look horrible and the whole demo is just a huge mess. Tho it hurts, I still have to thumb up for the nice graphics.

Great music that doesn't really end fitting. Great 3D that doesn't tell me anything. Horrible, horrible overlays rendering. Incoherent design. I'd give a thumb up for the Cocoon comeback alone, but... guys, you can do WAY better!

Not bad, but I don't really want to look at pipes for so long, they get boring fast. The last 30 seconds or so was pretty good. Pig overall.

Miles and yards better than the Kakiarts retro-bag, but doesn't hit the right buttons for me. Where as Coma (on the dancefloor) was mostly pure excellence, this one seems incoherent - different scenes put together and music that rocks on its own but doesn't really fit with the 3d. Perhaps the graphics and soundtrack were made separated, resulting into this?
Nevertheless thumbs up for the best demo from Evoke (albeit I haven't seen the FR one yet :).

This one is for guille. You are still the same (even more perfectionist :) ) and you get style (this also applies to the other cocoon members).
After rewatching I must reconsider my opinion, this is good and solid demo, even for nawaday (2012) standards.
The usual Cocoon style we are all loving years after years :)
