This is a very short intro that I wasn't even sure if I was going to release or not, but somehow it ended up in 4th place at the compo!

I had to check the filesize twice :)

Looks stunning for a 4k intro

it had nice textures, it was very short and the music, well yeah, was hardly music, still it has nice synch and that tunnel was nice.
What little is in there is nice.
From what you say in the readme, you should release the source code & build instructions.

yes, rules. pretty impressive, though the "music" was quite silly.

hey noice guys, build a longer 4k intro with more stuff using this engine, that would be great !

Sdw: nice work, i liked it but the music was a bit tame.. i know you guys didnt put that much effort into it but it rocks anyway.

Quite nice for 4K, but isn't there some sort of rule against using MIDI for intros?? I just ask 'coz that's not in the same league as hardware accel, but is in fact using pre-made data.

thom, there is a precedent: http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=482

I don't think using MIDI is any different than using the windows font (which I also did in this intro) or old DOS intros using the system font.

Very good 4k. definitely my favourite from the lot (without having seen the non-pc ones)

there is another precedent, but for doing a 4k in c++ only :)

The first time I saw this, I couldn't believe my eyes. Those textures really make the intro look good. Too bad about the "music," though.

Really nice textures

Still works by running the .com file in DOSBox then running \E.exe in Windows. Early 4k texture generation, but short and just a few bonks for music.
