hey cool, i once started writing code for the gp32 (the old one). all i got around to was a set of fairly fast tri-fillers and a rotating cube ;)
The bad vid cap gives a good impression though.
Very nice!
I certainly liked that spider on the ball part.

Exactly what Scoutski said. Nice one. Better video would be nice though. :)
yeah, finally a demo that pushes the gp2x further! =)) the spider ball and the huge polar object are my faves =) good work, guys!
Cool demo, I wish it had been a bit longer :)
Yep, I am very happy to see more GP2X demos and what earx said exactly :)
oh yes.. looks very nice... i have to buy me some of these handhelds!!!
Congratulations Ham, I love to see people pushing for good prods on consoles! Thank you for allowing me to check the demo on the real thing at the party, I got amazed, it is a revolutionary step on the GP. Waiting for a Hi Quality video soon!
Amiga style rulez!
cool
Nice, but I didn't see anything you couldn't do on a gp32. So piggy
quite nice
best gp2x demo, which on the other hand is not much
I second waffle.
Come on people - it's ugly!

Looks pretty bad, ugly textures and so on. The music wasn't really that good either. The few okayish parts save it from a thumb-down though.
I like it.
what a mess
yes! I just watched it on my Gp2x and enjoyed every single second. thank you guys!!
Nice music, and the direction of the demo is consistent enough. BUT:
- What's the deal with the orthographic projection? Is projective divide scary in some way?
- Textured scenes was way too "flat", some lighting on that would rule.
- Please, shade your tunnel. We even do that on GBA, I'm sure it's within your cpu-budget on a GP2X ;)
- The bloody colors :(

it didnt really convince me much to tell you the truth.. maybe it's the effects reuse or the bad quality of the sound on the partyversion video. want to rewatch it on the realmachine before pulling any thumbs.
well done - waiting for that promised 'next one will be better'!
you did it mate! After watching it life on the real HW, here is my thumb up! Now, quickly tune it for a final version and jump to the bp prod!
wtf?
am not seeing the wtf part. Am seeing a decent demo that could use some more 'design' but hey, it's one coder. Ham will get there (: (Good to see ya back dude - this the thing you were working on at Breakpoint?)
hmmmm....think I gotta get me one of thoose GPs
Looks rushed indeed. Now go make a final version ;)
great one! (and what earx said)
u will get my thumb 4 the final ;-)
has that 'nice' oldskool-pc-demo feeling.. :)
not bad.. but no my cup of tea.
nice soundtrack.
best GP2x i have seen, and the soundtrack rulez :)
ham&Joss rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Code and music are great but, Ham, you need to recruit someone with an eye for design as it's not your strong point.
You get a thumb-up for a "good" production that had the potential to be great with better design.

Ugly piece of shit
CHEERS!
Great effort on putting all stuff in a single GP2X.
is admirable, in this days, people still struggling the hardware at the limits!
congrats ... cute Centosis Style :P
Some gfx are not my coup of tea, but, who cares.

Finally all the efforts of Ham, directed to release a GP2X prod, have been rewarded!!
Congratulations for the result, I am waiting for the final version too :)

Fuckings to haters...
more than ok prod for me... some nice effects, some of them not so nice, personally i liked spider on a sphere very much =) needs some designer work, tho. music was great.
cool!
great, nice work with the code Ham, the music by my friend dear friend josSs is impressive!!! love it!!!... where are you going to make a demo without insects? :D
I love this kind of pr0n
technically speaking, it's nice, but well design is ugly. but despite of it's negativeness, it's still something good for gp2x
those repeating motions didnt work for me. its ok I think. make another one!
good audio
looks unfinished
the octopus on the ball is teh lol :-D

Color blind coder looking for graphic artist, please sent your resume to...
That's a shame that the graphics and color choices are not better, because the rest is more than decent I guess...

Not bad.
hm not my cup of tea
First I thought was going to be the old spikeballz masturbation but then it improved a lot! Thumb up!
I continue waiting for the final version! What's happening? =)
I mostly agree with Kusma, but overall I find it a nice effort for this interesting platform. Any chance of releasing the soundtrack?
I almost bought a gp2x a few months ago, but the battery issue really turned me off, so I ended up getting a PSP instead.

Now... the final version deserves a thumbs up! :)
oh, crap, i cannot thumb up twice?! :)
Yay, the final version successfully addressed most of the issues I pointed out! It looks much better now!
the final version deserves the tumb!
HAM engine HAM style in TECHNICOLOR!!!! Yeessss!
freezes on my f-200 (i only get to see the first screen).. i'll test on f-100 as well..
Would be nice to have the soundtrack
Here is mine Ham!!! RULEZ!!!
yes, overall gfx in the final are a lot nicer!
thumb for the platform and the screenshots and the 'group'
I enjoyed watching it (great pace and composition). Especially, two spider-like creatures chasing each other on a "sphere" (technically on a pentakis dodecahedron) near the end - that kind of things turn me on, lol.
Additional plus for doing it on an exotic platform!

Can't hide your Amiga roots :D.

do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.

If you don't have this nice console, then see this bad quality video capture.
A better capture will be made very soon.
