Someone just had to add this hilarious tracker parody. ;) Quote from the official website.

Quote:

Introduction

SlowTracker II is an attempt at creating a new standard in the PC music industry. By not supporting any sound cards at all, but instead making use of the internal speaker which is present on 99.9% of all PCs, it allows just about any PC to perfectly play st2-files, thus eliminating the need for expensive hardware and complicated drivers.

More seriously
Ok, SlowTracker II is a stupid project. It's a music tracking program with support only for the PC speaker.

Technical stuff:
- 3 (three) channels.
- PC speaker sound.
- Low system requirements.

But SlowTracker II isn't completely useless.

A bold statement. :)

Nothing new, really. Back in 1995 or so, my mate Benji/JFF started composing modules using ModEdit, a textmode tracker that supported only the PC speaker :)

pfft.. ModEdit 3.0 (the first tracker I used) supported SoundBlaster cards and 2.0 might've as well.. not that it made it much better as a tracker..

exocet: The default audio output device was the pc speaker, but it also supported dac/sb.

Well, I managed to dig the version of ModEdit we used, it turns out it was the 1.00 version from 1991 with no SoundBlaster support whatsoever... Would have been a good idea to get hold of a more recent version though.

Results would be funny, but the process is a pain. Thus, a piggy.
