A megamusicdisk. Generous as the megademo concept, brilllant tunes/gfx/code with lot of fun and details, hidden goodies, also very friendly (progressbar, fullscreen) It gaves me rare feelings I had with some old stuffs. The best musicdisk ever. ;)

Apparently a few of you have started the program and only have seen a black screen. This is not intentional and we will issue a bugfix. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you can avoid severe Truck sittage by waiting patiently instead of thumbing down. ;) There also will be updates soon. We'll mention things like the brillant intro file soundtrack done by Virgill for example, give further infos and add a tracklist.

Very impressed so far, unfortunately I do also get a black screen in fullscreen mode. In windowed mode it seems very sluggish (GF6800, Athlon XP2500+, 1GB)
There's 505 on it, so it has to be good.

I also get the black screen, so I have a small request for the upcoming bugfix: it would be nice if it checks the drive to see if the dvd is inserted so that those of us who bought the dvd at Evoke don't have to burn a new dvd just to get the fix to work :-)

sparcus (and anyone involved): we're currently trying to figure out how to deal with that - it's very likely that we will do an 1.1 version with a bit more content/fixes/polish and let people who bought the 1.0 version have the "upgrade" disc+box for free.
I cheated and copied the ISO contents to my hd, so i kinda missed parts of the experience :) but the rest is so much everything that I would allow myself to expect what a musicdisk could be that I can't do any otherwise than thumb this baby up. Very, very great work of all of you.
(oh, and Gargaj, while you're fixing, would you be so kind and make the skip track buttons recognize the Shuffle setting? thanks :-x )

Anyone else having problems downloading it? I'm on the 3rd attempt now... it seems to download at either ~150k/s or ~2000k/s (and it's one or the other, nothing between) but it's stalled at different points twice so far.
5th attempt... 295mb downloaded at 1866k/s, and it's stopped again :( Oh well, I'll try again at home.

Yes, I know I can click in the list of tunes and the display will update accordingly but I don't like this at all. But that's actually the only minor complaint I have, if you add a "scroll through the tunes using cursor keys" feature for the v1.1 update it would be great. :) Big thumb up to all people involved!

I noticed some minor usability issues like the quickly disappearing slideshow controls, or the fact that the first few times I thought the volume slider was the scrollbar for the tracklist :) Well, nothing serious.
The interface is still one of the best evar with all the little bits and pieces :)
I wasn't particularly impressed by the pictures included in the slideshows. Yeah, there are some good ones, but quality over quantity would have appealed more I think. (And I don't get the amiga demo screenshots part... must be some oldschoolness I don't understand :)
But of course it's a musicdisk with lots of quality music and as a musicdisk it's excellent.

am-fm : what's wrong with iso ? If you don't want to burn the CD, just extract the files out of the iso file like you would do it with a .rar or .zip file...
or buy the disk from alien^bf, it smells so nice of greek forest fires!
