It's not a classic demo but a realtime movie ! all is good in that production, the software 3d engine is really faaaaast.
added on the 2000-09-09 16:41:25 by rez rez
i found this demo really great on the bigscreen at the wired, but somehow lost that feeling on my small screen. anyway, it's still worth a look.

Nice one! I hated it at the time because my team was working on a demo SO similar to this one, be decided to quit doing it. =)

Very favorite storylike demo! Smmooootthhhhh and Faaaast Paced!!!

Some great visuals there (I love very much the underwater part with plasmas on floor and rays!)

Great musics too! (And I like the painting of the red haired manga girl and the robots too ;)

I remember going absolutely vrazy about this demo back at the time.. 8) it's still fun to watch..

There are several demos, that deserve much more attention than several so called "famous" ones. I really recommend this one, it's one of the best dos demos ever. Thumbs up.

Like wow. Awesome. This demo is so creepy, that you get under it's effect...
Great music, awesome textures, fast code, _very good ideas_, like the spaceship appearing, or the water mentioned by Optimus...
All good... Except for looking a bit chunky, e.g. the fog is a bit... like, weird... anyway, thumbs up!

I don't like is so much, but i guess it was a kind of shellshock at wired97.
Thumbs up

This should definitelly take my thumbs! Phast.

This is showing how effects can be smartly included in a demo (as the plasma effects for the water or the phong objects for the explosions)... anyway you should watch it!

i normaly hate theese 3d-showoff demos, but this is an exception.

Hmm, good modelling, great code and nice music but a bit too boring. Reminds me a bit of Alcatraz' Odyssey, apparently a lot of work went into it but it's just boring. And what's with that ugly explosion at the end? :) Thumb up for the code.

Hey, this is pretty good. I didn't quite bother following the "story". The 3D looks fairly impressive for 1997 Maybe the music could be a bit better? That's all I can think of.

rulez added on the 2011-12-01 22:45:11 by gentleman gentleman
I think it's SW since we were amazed by the perfect aspect of corrected-texture when camera was very close to polygons.

So the shitty argument about accelerated Quake is le very wrong.
