I'm really sorry to say this, but I didn't like it at all. The portability thing is really cool - even though my friend said it crashed his 98 - but I was really disappointed. And wasn't the only one.

that triangle effect in the background was real nice. nothing special about the invitro though.

uhm... are you guys pointing your thumbs up for the party itself? certainly not for the invtro... which is pretty boring IMO.

i like the fact that the windows tune sounds exactly like the c64 one though :D
added on the 2002-07-19 01:02:32 by jazzman jazzman
okay invitro, nothing particular funky or anything...
added on the 2002-07-19 01:17:59 by sagacity sagacity
Nine fingers, anyone? Cute. I think it's just a case of suomiskeners thumbing up their buddies (um.. in a manner of speaking ;) ). Cool to see a multi-platform release (and an invtro at all, for that matter).
added on the 2002-07-19 01:37:02 by phoenix phoenix
jazzman: the tune on pc version is an MP3 .. on Amiga its played as a real SID.

And a small sidenote... anyone can see this wasn't meant to be a killer production.. plus we broke records in finishing them at such short time ;-)

R0x0rz! Portability is a fantastic idea. And it's a nice change to see an Assembly invitation without no tight-ass nu-skool media design for a change.

karate seems to be in these days :)

i liked both the looks of the c64 and the pc version, still about to watch the amiga one. great style :D
rulez added on the 2002-07-19 16:25:11 by robotriot robotriot
pc intro was cool. c64 very ugly ;) amiga didn't even work. no hard work here so it's kinda ridicilous when oldskoolers praise their closest scene-friends for such an average output ;)
just keep on doing stuff and let the sceners judge themselves.

The idea of a multiplatform demo is very nice, but I absolutely dislike the style of this.

nice to see people praising us being PORTABLE and MULTIPLATFORM for once when we are not doing it in Java...

the newschool ascii in the diz rocks! nice shaping
finally something PORTABLE and MULTIPLATFORM instead of some javacrap.

This was alright. I liked it.
Just to inform you, that the Oric version is also downloadable. Now if someone could modify the "platform" field for that demo, and add "Oric", that would be cool :)))

did you do the oric port, dbug? i'll give it a thumb up - nice work!

Nice chiptune but else I wasn't amused at all.
added on the 2002-07-28 12:45:33 by ghandy ghandy
Thanks Jazz. Yep I've done that this week, using a mix of the datas found in the linux version, and the C64 guys send me the animation frame.
I'm pretty happy about the interleaved field effect.
