Since I'm an annoying idiot, I will complain about one thing in general about 4kb intros:
I'm really pissed having to download a new D3DX dll every 2 months or something, basically each time I want to watch a new 4k intro. Can't you guys just NOT use it or use an older one?

keops: d3dx9_32.dll is almost 6 months old right now, so i dont get the point here :)
gopher: that's exactly my point, one has up update DX9 dll's every 2/3 months (we are at d3dx9_33.dll or something now) in order to watch those 4k intros :)
actually i wonder about that myself as well. :) specially because usually it's just enough to rename an older d3dx9_xx.dll and it works. :)

oh well an old version would'nt solve the problem. I guess not using D3DX would be the only way not to have to update DX's DLL every 2 months in order to watch those 4k :)
well, the fact that I can just rename an older d3dx dll to get most of the intros/demos working makes me wonder because it means these latest d3dx dll's are not really needed. but since I am not a PC coder I have no clue. :)
