Includes the demoeditor, a 3dsMax previewer/exporter plugin and a generic demoplayer. All demos developed using them plus datafiles are also included.
Released mainly to show how things were done and mess around a bit instead of providing another easy way to do demos. It can make demos but in that case I would consider using other environments specifically designed for public usage, unless you want to deal sometimes with obscure parameters :)

rulez added on the 2007-01-08 06:25:28 by sunnm sunnm
there's a player included for the stuff you make, so it's pretty much a complete system. have to check out the max exporter functionality yet, no version 8 here...

Here we go again here we go go go again. Nice to release such a tool, for people who can't code! For all of you who do complain without any valid reason or motivation "Well don't download or don't even bother to comment!!" :)

nice tool set, demos and effort
rulez added on the 2007-01-12 16:30:25 by waffle waffle
the coolest demo editor IMHO! pretty straightforward although there're some things that could have been a bit more documented... i can't seem to get that change viewport with using motionblur fx and other stuff... guess, need more practice =)
will there be any updates? the max keyframe animation option in the plugin f.e.?

respect

Demotools don't have to break the scene! I use demotools to plan effects and screens and experiment with new ideas that I can later implement myself. It's like building a scale model!

i don't like public demotools, not the wysiwyg type anyway. i feel using (others) demotool is somewhat like.. ..using cars in a maraton. fast cars are fun, but it kinda destroys the competition for the real runers. But i guess my opinion suck anyway as i'm new of 2006 in the demoscene.

i'd like to try it but unfortunately everytime i open a text script file i got : "error opening somefile.mp3 or .ogg" (i'm under windows 7 64). program is running under administrative rights. any help ?
added on the 2012-07-26 15:36:13 by Tigrou Tigrou
Same here. Removing the music line in txt makes the load fail on the next file, seems it cant open anything. Properties on demo folders show partial read only but when you remove it it stays.
