Okay, it's a bit messy, but how on earth did this one come last? The music is a bit so-so, but the theme kicks ass :)

the music is so bad i almost had to quit serveral times before the end.. plus the whole thing is rather messy.

This one could have been great with at least a better "music" and -- possibly -- a better textmode renderer. I wonder how better (or worse) it would look like with some full ASCII-dithering instead of just hatched chars. The 3D scene by itself is quite cool.
Nice engine, ugly scenes and most of the time I couldn't understand what's going on, music is weird (Mmm,. several musics in this TMDC were weird in a twisted or interesting way), was there a story/idea/plot here? Thumbs up for the effort anyways.. (Mmm,. there is no single entry in this TMDC I haven't thumbed up. Every one of them was a nice attempt!)
This deserves a thumb down for the music alone.

Seriously, I just feel like it was a faery like sounding little tune, nothing excessively tourmenting imo.
A better rendering engine would have been welcome thus, because playing with pure RGB components is not gona give a good visual result if the mixing is ugly...
But I love the idea :)

i didn't know that our demo was on pouet, very suprising. I know this posts are old, but anyway, thank u for watching and rating it.
I'll try to answer some of those question:
1. why bad music?
We had someone who wanted to make the music, but bout 2 days before final submissions he said that from now on he'd just do music for money, so we had the choise of either be disqualified (cos of missing music) or make coder-music... obviously that suxx as coder-art does :(
2. Why not AscII dithered?
We wanted to make everythin ourself and not using any other sources, so we'd had to spend a lot more time on this, and we had no extra timem just one month and a day.
3. Eeh, story?
Yeah, there is a story. we had even a storyboard. in Short:
a. Music, food-steps, like from ppl going out of house.
Look at caledar (12.dez is submission end on TMDC)
Names on the chairs of the demo makers
On the table the contest name, Tea Macdonalds, Dip and a C-formed donat.
b. Now that the house is the fridge fairys start to dance (in analogy to Tchaikovsky's dance of the sugar fairys, the music should be this way...at least on paper), they fly through the kitchen, having 'fun'
c. fly to the cleaning room, rotating in the washing-maschine
d. suddenly u can hear one foot-step... then another one, the camera sets the focus on the door.
e. the music gets fast, as on mario when the time is nearly elapsed. the fairys try to get as quik as possible back into the fridge. the blue one is kinda the slowest and not the smartest, and get's not in-time into the fridge as someone opens the door (u can see this by the light that cames through the door). during that the blue fairy is hiding just above the door.
f. happy end, the door is closed, the blue one get's into the fridge, lookat the calender where the demo started, getting out of focus and contrast

btw. in TMDC10 we'll try to take part, any musican? :)

funny idea to put the ascii window and the normal window, but it doesn't work very well :-/
