BIG UP TEK for making an OCS release as late as 1998!! Nice demo with suggestive soundtrack. Surprised nobody added this gem before now. Go fetch. And yes, it's a trackloader. :)

Btw, people should really wipe the dust off their A500's and make that bastard break a sweat again. Push it to new limits. It's a wonderful machine that never ceases to amaze me.

Wow! Amiga ECS demo with newschool effects. Although something happened and it crashed at the beginning so I have only seen the wavulating DOOM head and the textured cube. The music is kinda lame though..

Fantastic code and this time I even liked the music somehow. Voxel and textured cube are both great, but to me the best bit was the general elite attitude. It was a very nice moment at the party when this demo ran on the bigscreen (with a Doom face in the background) and had a message to the gamer-lamers:

Well. TEK released an A500 OCS demo at the end of the 1990s because they CAN. That reads: because they wanted to show that with lots of effort, even the A500 can still rock the socks! Left to say that AGA gives people so (too?) much stuff to ease their lives, that OCS really demands your full skills!

With this production TEK departs from the gay satire that was Rampage to present a bleak but ambitious work that fell out of time and, apart from its depressing texts, stands isolated. It corrupts its own aspirations through utter nihilism that oozes from all departments, and in doing so this anti-demo, while more mature and technically advanced, is an unsettling act of self-immolation that succeeded as a gateway, but is little fun to watch.

The code is solid, as expected from TEK, but the music is unfortunately ill fitting with the content and makes it a rough watch. Not a fun production, as stated above, but interesting as a piece of historical scene commentary from bleaker times, 15 years before the current joyful OCS revival got started, and at the crucial tipping point before gamers and leechers got their own mega LAN parties.
Wow what a pleasant endscroll. The tune is so fucking chill and the font looks cool. I guess the graphician had a pressure sensitive drawing tablet.. :) Totally LOLed at the thought of you guys driving 2000km to gathering'98 in an Open Kadett absolutely packed with amiga hw and loud techno playing =D
Funny thoughts about constantly updating windows 95, 3dfx and PC ruining the scene, while C64 being a constant. 26 years and nothing has changed, about the scene perpentually getting ruined. But somehow the party atmosphere was relayed through the scrolltext with power outages and all, or maybe I'm just imagining.
