Impressive GFA demo done by Humungus and Dogue de Mauve from the Overlanders. This production was launched in the spring of 90 . One of the best screen reproduced an Asm production of the "Cuddly demo" from the famous TCB, so it was a great success. The overlanders have shown it was possible to code good demos in GFA... and gave hope to other persons ;-) (like me indeed)

Je me rappelle trés bien de la sortie de cette démo au printemps 90. Elle a en impressoinné plus d'un , car en pur GFA , elle battait a plate couture de nombreuses prods en ASM, notamment en reprennant un ecran de la Cuddly demo des TCB !!.
Jolis GFX, bonne réalisation et de l'humour avec des screens loaders ou apparaissent Gaston Lagaffe, ou autres dessins de Franquin. Oh yes it Rulez !

I was very amazed when watching that GFA demo. I don't code any stuff at that period, but I start to write to Dogue de Mauve wich is a very nice person. UGD was a source of technical inspiration and it's the beginning of all my ASM stuff on ATARI.

salut les francais. ca ma toujours tres plus en allemagne de voirs les demos francaises. Ils s'etais toujours tres surpris ici. Ca ma tres aussi tres motivee de programme par ce que je suis un 1/2 francais. excuse my bad french!

see above comments ... add to that that I leaned more toward Dune and Fantasy's GFA work, but Dogue de Mauve and Humungus sure did a good job here

I was trying to make little GFA effects on my ST and when I soo that and the "Who dares" source code (in ST mag) I've naturally realised I was not raised in a shoalin temple ...

Good old Ultimate Gfa Demo. And yes they had to release the source code of one of the effects, because most people did not believe it was pure GFA. Admittedly there was a lot of bmove and precomputed patterns, but that was pure GFA indeed :)

(and yes NeXT had also an Overlamers period ;) )

Great GFA basic prod ! Inspiration for many of gfa coders ! Thx guys !
