one man prod. liked the music. design is let down a bit by a few ugly parts, but overall this is solid.

Has its charm. But unlike Parapete I dont like the music. Messy and tiersome to listen to.

what parapete says.. and i think some parts had nice ideas, which are ofcourse hard to put into text because they appear very abstract.

nice and charming. but why the low resolution?

nice stuff, execution lacks something though.

Partial credits for the music should probably go for the Orion's musician :)

Nice intro, the effect in the screenshot sucked the most but I think the intro got better when the noise stuff began.

always liked minimalistic 3d demos
but this one is just bad
boring screenplay, the tune does not save it :(
and why the fuck is it SOOOOOO slow???????

waffle: "partial credits?" *cough* :D
the intro is nice but sorry, this was WAAAAY too blatant :)

Yes but as Waffle said to me on irc, the programmer gave credits, but someone other than the programmer thought that wasn't important so didn't include it...

So I'm giving a thumbage for a decent first prod, doing it all as one person, and yeah, I'd like to see something MORE next time.
Nice first intro.

Pretty cool for a first prod, and I really liked the effect with the zooming out from the cityscene. Somehow it could've used more stuff in the scene though, it looks a bit empty at times.

Nice looking stuff for a one man prod, but seemed a bit messy (not least because of the erratic camera movement on most scenes). Next time get a real musician to make your intro listenable too...

i liked the cube growth thing alot.
the resolution could have been higher, would have made it look smoother/fancier.. just my 2 cents.

Glad some of you like it!

It's slow because of FreeBASIC using *4 instead of << 2 for array indexing...I've moved on to C++ now, so no more worries ;)

Sorry about the music tho....I thought it fit the style and color scheme of the effects.

Well done Thygrion :-) Ran fast enough here, lots of nice ideas and congratulations on your first 64kb, it's an admirable thing to release an intro into a category where there is so much competition but you did a good job on this, I liked it a lot so here's your thumb.

Good (after a while)
rulez added on the 2007-01-02 23:19:13 by T$ T$
Ähh, Thygrion, there's not that much difference between shift and multipy on today's CPUs. Besides, if it actually is a compiler, i would wonder why it doesn't do this simplest of all optimizations, which is usually called "strength reduction". So, go search for another reason, and every bet you will have more trouble than help from C++. This is actually the first time i heare of FreeBasic, so i'll take some time to evaluate the compiler, its workings and output.

Otherwise, i found the demo pretty much OKish. Keep codin'.

Uh, bored me quite much.

as quisten said, there is potential, but it is not there yet. Was rushed for the compo obviously. Too bad.
