the face-in-the-metal-bars-thingie was a cool idea, just to bad the rest of the demo wasn't up to par. still, not a bad demo.

Yeah, this demo also placed way too low. Not really my style, so I'm not giving you the mighty thumb. At least not today.

this demo looked a lot better on paper and in my mind, i spend 5 days on both design and gfx which was way too short time imho and things where kinda hurried..
im not looking for excuses or pity-thumbs here, next time we'll do better =)

but different from that, the desert scene would have kicked ass with some fog!!! The demo itself has way to many linear movements.
but still, i made my demo in 4 days, never touched shaders before, no demotool, and singlehandedly (i'll say it here, wont spam my demo site) :D

I'm seriously not sure which demos of the ones that ... I thought the... one... thread... always thumb the newbies up so they don't run away crying... I thought that was this demo, what the heck... well obviously it would help if this ran on my hardware (:
i much prefer this RBS demo to the previous one, from this one especially the nice melodic track from chromag carrys the demo well... nice work guys, keep 'em cummin' =)

BUT : at the end of the demo, i've got two white bars which are coming at the top and at the bottom of the screen. I guessed they were the greetings, and i was right, seems like my png transparency is fucked up? Dunno, at the beginning of the demo, it said something like (while loading) "missing msvcp71.dll". Can someone tell me where i can get the pack of the fucking lot of missing .dll i dont have on my system? is there some kind of sdk or dunno what i havent installed?

Thanks mct, but my question was rather ment like "is there a pack of .dll i miss where that msvcp71.dll is in", like sp2 or any other runtime library shit. But that's ok, it runs fine now :)
wonderful music! nice 2d. some nice effects (i'm a sucker for cubes + the greetings part was nice) but some really butt ugly parts as well... barely i thumb, but you get it :)

It is a shame for the whole party, to vote on shitprods against a serius party-winner-category demo like this one.

An easy top 3 from kg! Damn sad with this voting shit. i wounder if there will be any seriouse demo there next year.. well this one are great!
It's better than the winner, but it does contain a couple of scenes which are ugly. However, it does have pleasing music, handdrawn gfx and two interesting effects. Not bad!

I don't really like the font and the combination of colors in this one.
well, it sure has more "serious" intentions than some of the stuff above it, but it isnt very good.
The "A new day" track of this flavored design beauty just blew me away.
Hard to judge. It's different and there are some nice ideas in it. But there's a lot that's pretty ugly as well. The music is nice but doesn't work as a demotune at all for me. It's a nice demo but it lacks the certain "something" for my thumb. :)

13th place? What were we thinking? I sencond what Proteque said. Cant remember this at all in the compo...was nice to watch now though, Some really nice parts, some not so nice. But I guess it was kinda unfinnished. Keep up the demomaking, allways love to see stuff from old group names :)

The greetings part is pretty cool and the music is pleasant, otherwise I really don't get this demo. The code is very uneven, and the aliasing on some of the 2d graphics make me cringe. And why no aliasing in the lineS? And really, what's with the framerate?
