Looks like Triangle remake with Jeroen Tel's C64 tune which does not loop =(! Better luck next time.

you should've had a decent crack intro watch session before doing that!

urm, you can enable vsync using 2 lines of code.
text runs too fast.

Keep on trying

Perhaps no need for trying.. Anyway it could be coded without OpenGL but it is the only common standard between Linux, Windows and Mac. Someone really watched this through :-D
The difference between odsm intros is requirements. odsm intros do not run very well at GeForce 256 DDR. I tried odsm out but it needs to be faster.. I must admit that after watching intros coded with odsm - some of them are really good!

Jaw, I'm interested how vsync can be enabled if you have turned vsync completely off in control panel? Does it work on both Nvidia and ATI - also on other 3d-cards?
added on the 2006-11-23 19:43:24 by lancer lancer
people do not use those control panels.
lancer: if the user turned VSync off in the drivers settings, there is not much you can do with OpenGL (I read some time ago that OpenGL 2.0 would be able to override those settings but I don't know if it's actually the case).

Anyway, motion on screen should be time-dependant, not frame-dependant. This is the problem with PC's, modern API's and hardware, it can produce high-end real time 3D graphics but it sucks at displaying oldskool 2D scrollers smootly :)

keops: Thanks for your answer! This is what I suspected. No perfect workaround. I tried to use code which would restrict the fps to 50 or 60 or something. Vsync is also a problem if you have a monitor capable of 200 fps in 640x480... It would still run too fast and there would be a need for skipframes etc. Thanks for your constructive answer anyway!
