nice atmospheric drum'n'bass by yolk & legend... otherwise, well done 3D stuff, too slow on 030, so strange it dont work on 040.
I could see it now on a 68030 and it wasn't to slow. Very good demo, also compared with the best pc demos from that time
yup, a classic it is.
was an above average production when it came out, and was no doubt it would win TP.

crest -> yes its not THAT slow on 030 all in all but some parts are rather slowed down interrupting the flow which is so must for 3D|emos

Didn't appeal to me at all. It lacked all the cinematic quality and style of previous Bomb/Complex demos. Even though some of the scenes looked quite nice, they seemed to be thrown together without much thought, and the music just sounded out of place.
thumb up for the excellent music and maybe the most beautiful bumpmap to date :) features some ugly 3d tho

wade, shaft7 was originally a melting pot production (ben+axel), and then conveted to bomb label when made contributed and ben+axel joined bomb just before the release. the style you are refereing to is quite obviously the one from gengis+hof+titan+clawz.
Now why did this win? :-) Amazing show! The music is one of my favorites by yolk & legend.
I loved this back then. Was pretty fast on my 030/50, so Raver, buy a new 030 then! :)
loved the speed in this one and the chocolate candy bump looks great..

Loved this demo before, but now it barely gets an ok. Some samples in the music didn't match together at all... The bumpmapping got you a piggy;)

I never liked this demo much. Uninteresting 3D scenes, and the music is without momentum.

excellent coding by Ben (of which no1 had ever heard before this demo, which was some sort of comeback of Bomb, whose coder Gengiz left for PC long before, so Bomb Amiga was considered dead already), paired with excellent textures and Graphics, worthy Winner i´d say!

Don't get the music at all, nor the low-precision texture mapped objects. But everything else is a great fight in the polybump war of the time, so here's the thumb.

funny to read that every new motorola cpu requires new fix for this demo, but I have fond memories back from the times so I give it a missing thumb-up anyway
Actually there's a whdload patch which makes it work on 060 and probably everything else

This marks the pinnacle of the 68030 3D-era. Still a joy to watch today due to excellent graphics, sound, and direction.

Had to finish and pack the demo during the party, quite some sleepless nights ... Also, while running to deliver the demo disks, we lost them in the middle of a dark room filled with passers-by! We gave them 2 minutes past the deadline, the organizer was about to refuse the entry, and we had an angry argument :)
The demo was with ridden with last minute bugs and would crash randomly. Got lucky it went smooth on the big screen :)
By the way, neither Yolk nor Legend knew we used their track, so we looked for them before the compo was screened and showed them the demo (at least Yolk, iirc.) I think he was not too enthusiastic or impressed, but winning the compo changed the mindset, I'd say :) We even tried to escape the party without paying their fair share like the greedy french bastards we were, but they caught us at the exit anyway :)
