Still very buggy on most nvidia-cards, we are working on it.
big thumbs up to mulms graphics. She made this demo to the best outracks-DEMO ever without loosing the cool style in duckers demos which I really like! Grats for winning the compo. Well deserved! And as allways... cool music :)
The scene on the bottom right of the screenshot (and the variations of it) is the definition of ugly.
Apart from that it's a nice summery breeze :)

The redistributable needs some other redistributable which probably needs some other redistributable aswell which isn't installed on my computer.

slow as fuck, some horribly ugly parts, loads of artifacts. some good graphics and a nice tune, but it's not enough to stop my thumb. sorry.
okay, strike my comment about the slow code. i ran the demo without the power connected. now it runs faster (still sluggish in some parts tho) but the lack of vsync made some parts almost unbearable.

The nvidia bug causing black screens out there should now be fixed. The download link is still the same. This version works fine on the gf6800 i tested it on. HOWEVER, some have reported that it runs, but most of the objects are simply MISSING. I can't explain why this happens, and its very hard to debug because it works fine on all computers i have access to now. So if you still experience problems try things in this order: 1 - download the vs8-redistributable package i posted link to earlier, 2 - update your drivers, 3 - try drivers from a third-party vendor (like omega-drivers) 4 - get an ATI card, 5 - wait for the video. Sorry about the mess.

I get the same error as scg. And blank screen with music playing.
The previous one at least worked, even if i only saw a lone skybox during 80% of the demo.

THE NVIDIA BUG IS DEAD!!!! The link is updated. This version should run VERY WELL on nvidia, and if it doesn't, SHUT UP, or you will give me a breakdown and probably make me quit the scene and start sheep farming instead. Enjoy!

a bunch of stuff.. But the bullet point of the lession is: never use uninitialized variables as reference counters XD. ATI had no problem drawing with locked ibo's, but nvidia had.
But its FIXED now and hopefully, our next demo won't get a totally raped comment-reel like this. Thanks to all of you helping me out with testing and debugging, especially proteque and zoom!

technically the music, 3d and 2d are nice and we've seen what the engine is capable of, however the content is so pointlessly whacked together that it doesnt make it a decent demo... piggie.
Despite some ugly parts (the colorful bars) and the fact that it's a bit oversynced (oh well, it's outracks' trademark :) it's got nice summery vibes and teh cuteness deserves the thumb.

After getting that lib "what's its name?!" from the gutters of the net...it startet but only ran the music just leaving a black screen along. ESC worked though.

Gifster: I don't know about the stupidity, but your'e obviously at least a bit blind or ignorant ;). The link to the vcredist_x86 has been posted several times in this thread it should fix exactly that message. What papapete said. Nice to head that the demo seems to be working out there.. finally.
Duckers: A much cleaner solution to the "incorrect configuration"-problem is to disable the embedded manifest ("manifest file" or something under linker settings).

Liked some of the effects - again. Didn't like the c0xff00fflors though. Piggy because of overly use of mediocre DOF and ugly lightcones :(

visuals are quite good, music isn't my taste. but overall a well done demo.
Cute, but it's kind of slow, most of the scenes are either too blury or too pixelized, and I don't really appreciate having to run after non installed dll's (redist + gdi plus).
On the plus side, it's shiny happy, and the music is good.

Blank Screen with music here too, even after installing the vcredist. Tried it on my laptop with a mobility X600, with no possibility to upgrade to newer drivers. Any chance you could give the people with problems a means to try and run it in windowed mode? (I see some kind of distorted logo in the 1st second, but then it all goes black)

Worked flawlessly and perfectly with my ATI mobility radeon 9600
duckers: i just testet it on my secondary laptop (hp machine with ati x600) and it runs like a charm. the only thing that bugs me is the tearing - is vsync disabled by default? if so; is there some way to turn it on? :)
I like the chrome objects, but that's about it.
Magic wand was broken: that vcredist_x86.rar did no wonder - still crashing on my machine (Radeon9600). How much RAM it needs?

hmm. i cant remember much from the bigscreen except that it looked better than the avi-version after watching that. The colors flowed better on the bigscreen. Maybe its a demo one watches one time and then never again? But its taste is individuall.. I think its an nice demo overall. The particle part was not impressive though. Keep up the good work!

everything was just a blur.. I don't think it was intentional to have that much DOF? from what I could tell it looked nice except for the dragonfly landscape texture which had a 3d studio seemless texture collection vibe to it.. the sync was a bit hectic in true norwegian pc demo style.. maybe it was a bit immoral of you to put the Steve Irvin killer at the end of this happy demo. Great music. Balloon scene is my favourite.. Less blur and I'll give a thumb.

watching the video makes me think the blurring is some sort of bug, since for me it was a lot like not having glasses on and seeing the demo from 10 metres distance, while the video looks much clearer. mysterious....
