Made to be a compowinner, and succeeded at it.
oh yeah! marvelous.. brilliant.. great demo with nice visuals and a really good tune
Not bad for a warmup. Nice recycling, and the soundtrack was wicked awesome. Mr.Damm would be proud of that sampling ;)
Panta, you bastard! Nah.. I guess it was about time you beat us in a demo compo ;)
woot!
funky!
soo great :)
not my style
this one fuckin' rocks!
Fresh.. and funky
aaaargh! my ears!! hot damn, you nearly scared the shit out of me (and my speakers got a mean beating!) the sound is horribly distorted on my computer, like i think i have reported before with some fairlight prods. panta - want me to help you debug this? here is a video documenting the troubles :) - bent@gathering.org if you want to chat.
the demo looks cool though, and from what i can hear from the überdistorted sound, the soundtrack sounds bitchin' also (okay, a little pun intended :)

quality, tradition, pride
yes cool and totally awesome music
wow - fastest bug-fix session in history. :)
pantaloon got it working perfectly at my computer now - the demo is really cool and the soundtrack simply rocks. :)

demo caused a imminent reboot halfway
When dreams come true.
Wooow ... awesome musaxxs !!! I really like the visuals and the overall feeling ... one word : stylish !
Pretty cool effects, but it didn't connect for me.
nice one
doesn't work.
hmm, but... Why is ps2.0 output if not supported?
my graphic board is gf6600gt.
PS2.0 is sure to be supported probably...

the worms were cool.. the rest was boring..
pantaloon:
my nvidia driver version is 84.21.

Nice. I liked the effects and the music, but there could have been a bit more of a connection between the beat and the graphics in my opinion. Still thumbs though.
Incredibel.
Killer track ! LB, drop the file :)
About the demo itself, I loved the greetings part.

Roxx da house!! great track!! great visuals!
screenshot is awful, demo is brilliant!

brilliant track, great flow, good performance!
all thumbs up.
all thumbs up.
that's one hell of a warm-up
***** synchro and bumpy things
Thumbs up for this, great flow and style!
Quite strange rendering, great style!
Yeah, great rendertechnique and some great scenes but those blobby scenes with no real content were a little boring. but apart from those, it's great.
pretty decent
what a beautiful misuse of an awesome track. oh and it crashed at the end. thumb for the massive music though.
That liquidish posteffect worked well before but here it just doesn't fit. And the style was done a lot better in Come Clean.
I only got noise overlays and nothing else. geforce 4 ti4600.. I guess this requires something a tad more new.
makin' funky music is a must ... dope
Awesome work !
It was all good apart from the shading style (cell shading?). It just looked like it was using a limited colour pallette, like an amiga demo.
Just a pig for that reason.
If it had more detailed textures, it would have definitely got a thumb up tho.

works solid here no troubles at all
about the demo: wow!
about the demo: wow!
wunderschön
Nice rendering.. but I dont like the music.
Very nice. I still get the feeling of seeing re-used code, but much less so this time. I've just watched it once, but first impression was very good.
Great sound!
well, this was cool, and very strange, it was stranger than cooler for some odd reason, but the worms and the rendring was way cool, maybe you push the 'weird' style a little too much? but still a very nice demo,
has potential, so im looking forward for your assembly demo

Awesome!
And another thumb up for using Boogie Down Productions samples.
I'm down with you!

Great demo... Definitly a winner.
BU-... BU-... BU-BU-BUST THIS! Ok Bitchard, you've finally won me over. Wish you'd write more songs like this. :) Awesome gfx by Kenet too, as usual. Lovely demo, keep it up, Fairlight! o/ Pink pussy!
Well fought, good sirs! Great soundtrack, the perfect crowdpleaser, long and polished (literally). The vocal feedback in the greets was a nice touch.
Next year we'll get you, tho. We heard of this thing called a "debugger..."

Very well designed with a cool beat and classic shouts.
Greetingspart rocks ass.
Effect sync started a bit weak but turned out to become crunchy and fitting. In the end a bit long, though.

NightShadow, I had the some problem like you. It would be great if someone could offer a video version.
Sobel rulez
Was coool. Now would someone move this to the right compo? (combined, not windows :P)
nice tune and nice style. fun watchin it.
The same routines you're using since 5 years (the balls, the physics, the cubes & even the font ?) + some sort of oil painting shader to hide the misery which in definitive, makes the whole demo to look fugly ?
Come on there's a severe lack of ideas and a strong feeling of deja vu here. Furthermore, you even managed to fuckup kenet's logos (filtering).
There's like an odor of charlatanism floating around here mon, looks like you're not up to the quality of your c64 section.
Only the synchro is good.

one of the best demos this year!
As some people already stated it for some previous demos, I wonder why a crew like FLT with so many active members (including gfx people and musicians) still needs to whore people from other crews for their productions.
Besides that, what Hitchhikr said: always the same old recycled stuff. Too bad, Kenet's pixels really deserved a better treatment...
Cool soundtrack LB by the way.

awesome!

and that comes from the guy who only codes chessboards and scrollers :P
Look more carefully dude, i've never used the same routine twice (well yeah, i did re-use metaballs drops 1 time).
Looks to me that you're just like watching your shares growing while sitting comfortably in the rear like a lazy one ;)
Don't be surprised or disapointed if some people awaits more solid stuff from you.
i agree with panta and kusma
well tough call here...
+kenet
- kenets gfx raped bt filtering
+nice fx
-whole demo in this fx? it got real boring near the end..
+nice music

very cool, i love it
its a demo , yes, really loved it.
something unexpected. never got me bored!
damn excellent looks. why are fairlight the only guys who can do decent shaders? love the worm, too. keep it up!
okokokokokokokok
looked awsome on the bigscreen, but that postprocessing cartoon filter doesnt quite work on my screen at home.
i guess this is good, but it's not my cup of tea.
kickin' soundtrack and the worm... but it's get boring in the second part of demo. repetitive ... thumb up anyway...
hm
wööh
best demo i've seen in a long long time! At last an innovative yet classic demostyle demo :) <3
Ruling, especially the tune and pixelling. Blob effect got a little boring mind..
Awful use of shaders, looks like some weak C64 effects, and the music is some ripped hiphop junk from brooklyn.
This group makes nightmares come true....get a grip assholes.
This group makes nightmares come true....get a grip assholes.
As hitchhikr (and others) said, most of the effects have been used in earlier demos. Like the vertical bars overlay and glow first seen in World of Vodka and later in Banalyzer (maybe more productions?) The physics in various productions like World of Vodka and latest in Deadline. The “oil painting” shading has been used in Deadline.
The only thing that felt a little bit fresh was the “blobby scene” which was recycled like 3 times or so…
But hey, it doesn’t matter. The aesthetics is excellent! FLT always seems to take the effect and refine it towards completion. So, who cares if we have seen meta balls in 101 productions since -96?
This is still a kick ass production, and by the way, the music is just excellent too!

Liked the tune and the speech greetings
Come on folks, stop the whole "it's been used/done before" whining. In today's scene, every group further builds on its strengths. ASD refine their procedurals, MFX refine their noise/particle stuff, Traction refines lines-effects, Smash/FLT refines cel-shading elements, and so on. IMO it's not about whether it's been done before, it's about whether a production is entertaining in its own right.
Plus I think it's sad that the "big" coders keep bitching at eachother. :) End of rant.

Axel: it's Smash's fault, he used to bring us very original 64k concepts, so this recycled demo is quite disappointing compared to the 64k intros ;)
stop it already! now give eachother a hug! :)
wow! amazing
music sucks, otherwise neat
not my taste but worths a thumb up
after watch:
thanks you support.
awesome sound track.
and great rendering fx.
this is rulez!

great music mix and some nice effects
Totally not my cup of tea. Didn't like the music either. Nice greetingspart though.
greetingpart rules, music rules, whicked effects (I like them) This IS my cup of tea. a pc-demo that does not look like a travel through space :)
ah welll... you guys rule. I like the style, it's pure demoish.
great show! Love the postprocessing except for the horizontal electrolines. the lightbeams rule
Has anyone seen the Demolition.script which describe the whole scene in 811KB XML text?
OverAll 99.9% wow factor certified
+Nice postFx.
+Da Funk'elektro shit included
+Nice greets scene
-the "when dreams come true" typo ;)
What you use for physics? ODE?
Great Guys!!! cool stuff here, seems like an oldskool demo or something from 90's, in my honest opinion, you shown off there's no need of 10000k polys and harmonics stuff to do something visual atractive.

nice :)
Not a bad demo. It had interesting music, visual effects, theme, etc.
stylish & adventurous.
only complaint: runs at over 200fps on my machine.

EXE File Will Not Initialize.
this is good. nothing more needs to be said.
Nice one. Impatiently awaiting asm.
Won't run..........
Windows xp professional, AMD Athlon Processor 1 gig, DirectX 9 Nvidia GForce FX 5900 Ultra 768 MB Ram, All drivers are updated also.
There's another one out? Do you have a download link?
Slow like all demolition builder Releases... What i use ? Windows XP SP2 , Pentium 3,6 GHZ , GeForce5... Is'nt enought for your demos ? Sorry.. Thats a piggy reason!
Thanks Guys I'm getting the Nvidia 7800.
Doesnt work over here. Videocapture?
fairlight rulez forever! nice dezign and style!, the dream continue to be true ;)
cool soundtrack. the post processing almost hides the fact that the visuals are just random shit but not quite. the 2d graphics are nice but don't fit the rest at all.
Great stuff. Wow, one of the best demos I have seen. Fairlight - respect.
[-] 2d art stuff doesnt fit though. Is music ripped?

alternative, addictive.
great postfx. fine music.
didn't like it in the beginning, but now i think i dig it :) still the cubes scene looks best to my taste
Really nice demo, it has got a good feel right through it.
Worthy of a top placement at Birdie 16, indeed.

d3d demo, therefore i cant watch it with wine.
excellent
very nice and original
few nice scenes but i don`t like the way they are designed... just ok this time.
Really nice...
@ el-bee
Whats wrong with the tune?? - grapped it strait from ram!

Thumb up is too much sorry eee
el-bee... Great Music as ever.. This song is for a long while on my favourite listening playlist :)

@smash:
be happy that it is a piggy... because i respect the work of fairlight! but i don't need to buy new graphic-card to watch fairlight demos... maybe change something in your work and try to make your things more compatible for old systems.
cheers.

Insanely cool!
great music, great effects, very cool!
some very nice effects
Cool demo indeed. works great on my 7800GTX
fast 'n sexy on a Radeon 9800, JSYK. Absolutely enjoyable shaders, even if not revolutionnary now, thumb up, 'll be rewatch.
fx5700 here and it runs pretty sweet...
boooooring
Run fine on my 6600gt. Now that would be cool to get the native resolution (1680x1050) of my 16/10 LCD screen.
finally saw it... groovy baby :D
well ... visual is a bit weird ...
but where the hell are Dr Skull and Alien ?? ^___^

boogie
it's prolly pretty mediocre, but, yet again, the music wins me over in yet another FLT demo...
on a side note, anyone having any luck capping it with .kkapture?

fresh
Too much postprocessing for my taste and music is not my favourite style either. Nevertheless a good prod!
I don´t like it.
Has some nice effects, but postprocessing is a bit too harsh. Still rulex
i second rainmaker. also it felt a bit unfinished somehow.
Cool, really cool graphics. Though i'd want more pulse. I didn't like the music though.
excellent
Sitting here drinking Lucifer Golden Ale and wondering if anyone here knows the source of the "fuckin' overhead clause" quote at the end. (I do, just wondering if anyone out there is cinematically literate enough to know!)
rocks!
yeah
igen -b
- thumbs up is for 3/4 for the music - almost didn't get it due to the crapped postprocessing :/
I've missed this one but artee showed it to me during the week and this purely rules
Insane
Brilliant looking effects, so thumbs up for the eyecandy stuff. The music is soo not my style, but it still doesn't ruin the whole demoexperience for me.
Very creative produced, FLT is coming closer and closer to my taste. FLT productions are probably completely underrated on Pouet.
luv it! cool raps and scratches. ok the fx is boring later then but cool anyways
don't even run here...
awesome. i just grew tired of the shakeytext(tm) that went up with each voice sample. lb laid the smack down.
Nice moves + great visuals + awesome soundtrack
This is the "f" in [f]unky and [F]airlight.
Nice one! Love the post-processing...
legalize: From the movie "Network" with Faye Dunaway, filmed in 1976?
ps: is there a movie capture of Liquid Lust around somewhere?
funny music, good demo!
something lets me think this demo is from the 90s, something definately not.
wicked style!
wicked style!
fuckin' great!
Great visuals, the music is annoying sometimes, but still a great demo.
absolutely bloody awesome. LBs music is amazing as usual but this one moves and twists in some many directions. The BIG effect post process is awesome and the blobs are huge in number. If only it all went somewhere! Even a theme would help. Still, without, it reamins awesome ear and eye candy.
Rulez, except some moments...
One of my faves !
Absolutely great !
Re-watched this today, and I still like it, but somehow I feel that most of all the great sync-opportunities left by LB in the track goes by ununsed, which is sad.
That soundtrack is impressive.
lets have some fun
great
Great stuff! Cool soundtrack.
very neat demo!
good one :)
nice gfx aswell
nice gfx aswell
Almost forgot this one. I remember it kicking some serious booty, also a cool soundtrack. Time to show my appreciation :)
jesus where did my thumb go, the power of christ compells me, mainly for the simply great soundtrack <3
goddamn, this rocks!!
coll track + fx
thumb missing, music roxor.
Rules!
Was ok, littlebit too long, and music aint my taste.
nice mood
cooool track and interesting visuals :)

dig the filter
A classic! The soundtrack is one of those than I never forget, really great sample work :D. And the visual design is really beautiful. A winner demo all the way through :).
ugly colours and visuals.
really great soundtrack!
Seems i have forgotten to thumb up this one
cool soundtrack, and some scenes are nice. but the main postprocess effect is totally overdone and ruins it for me :|
one of the best soundtracks of all time. would be interesting to see it with other visuals
A bit much.
