@MinZ: a diskmag video, very unique idea :)
nice outfit.
nice outfit.
@Skate : that's an idea to enable more people to watch it
I've yet to read the magazine, but the "intro" (it's a full demo!) is really nice! Well done Mikro and the rest!
Regarding video: I've recorded the "intro" called Menace, it's uploaded to scene.org, just have to wait for it to be public.
quality (!)
the intro deserves special attention. except for it's roughness and varying quality of the screens. the design and code can be called great!
the content of the mag is top: loads of articles from loads of guys. grey did a monster job on this one! excellent!
oh yeah: the graphics are pure eye candy =)

Added the intro video, thanks for the upload, evil!
The soundtrack is nice!
Talking about the demo - not the mag which I haven't seen so far! And the demo from video only...
too bad about some minor rendering gliches... but i will close my eyes to them as requested ;) for me this is a falcon demo in the top class. really good stuff and highly enjoyable.
cool
thx for the video
and cool demo !
me loves it

I can't say too much about the text part of it, as I was heavily involved in that. The shell was a mixture of joy and frustration. Joy at the excellent presentation, and frustration at it missing accelerated machines again. A CT60 fix will be joyously greeted! The demo rocked of course, again with some frustration with it having a fastram phobia, but it was perfect on my other CT2 boosted Falcon :-)
I take my comments back about the demo, I managed to get it running separately from the diskmag shell, works a treat on CT60.
Havent checked the mag yet but MENACE rocks!!! ... so now I finally know what I did that ascii logo for ;)
pure joy ;)
is that Koshice on the map? :)
music rocks - overall hiQuality for sure!
that big, purple object on white background (last just few secounds) have superfine smooth rotation (50 FPS?)!
notes at the end: kraftwerk music/theme or I drink to much last night :)

The intro roxxs!! Thx for the video!
calimero... the endpart is an homage to the atari xl selftest :)
yep nice one...
some parts are looking a bit buggy... but beside this...quite nice ;)

nice prod!
calimero... i know what u mean. it sounds like kraftwerk but it´s the style of that part. the melody is original from mussorgsky´s "pictures at an exhibition"... ;-)

I only saw Menace so far, but it rocks! Love it! Love it! Love it!
Excellent design, excellent music, excellent graphics, excellent
everything! Menace alone was already worth the 15MB download.
Can't wait to read the magazine.

Now, I need a Falcon emulator. Is there anything like that?
-some color schemes :\ ( the propellers, and the white/green/pink thing )

Unfortunately not Karmak. There's 'Aranym', which is fairly close. Basically it's a high-end "Virtual Machine" Atari clone, that is, a posh name for an emulator. It can use the Falcon rom and emulates much of the hardware.
The authors aren't keen to make a perfect Falcy emulation, and prefer to develop the GEM-legal virtual clone aspect, but it can run some Falcon '030 software. I don't think it will be able to take on the more intensively coded stuff, things that use the DSP and so on. This prod, happily, or sadly, depending on your point of view, falls into that category.
As for a pure Falcon emulation, there is really a gap in the market waiting here :-)
Falcon emulator, mwuhahaha :)
Just for the intro that contains the audio/visual test of Coleen it gets the thumb up from me.
Anyway I trust my main man from Poland Grey :)

very, very nice intro, except for one sluggish looking screen, i.e. that wind engine part.
regarding the mag:
once i managed to copy all those data to my falcy's HDD this is what i had come to find: the amount of stuff in there is incredible, i'm sure you had a lot of work putting the mag together once more. i still need to read over most of them.
thumbs up for keeping the scene alive, here.

yoyo: if you want to read the mag without pain in your eyes, i made a version with a good VGA60 resolution.
check it out:
http://lineout.atari.org/downloads/SHIT.PRG
replace this with the shell.prg in the chosneck folder.
