Oh and I kind of agree with Pete and Unseen. Wade's article was really depressing and arrogant (not in a scene way either) and pissed me off but then some things make me think the guy makes a good point......

especially wade´s article was imo kinda interesting. its a fact that many people sit in front of their pcs like zombies & for hours & for years and that many people have/had serious problems because of it and everything that comes with it..but of course its not everyones lifetimegoal to become a topmodel or to date as many "chicks" as possible so maybe thats the wrong point..

I read most of the chapters and I can say that they were enjoyable. I'm specially interested in charts like most of the sceners. Seeing both my production and my party in the charts was a good feeling. Thanx for the votes.

very good issue. i actually found wade's "you guys are ugly and i got new pants and jacket"-article quite fun to read. the interviews were good with interesting interview victims, and i especially liked aliens articles since i'm a sucker for all stories from the days when i had hardly started playing q-bert

about wade's article: it was first decided to leave it out because of it being pretty pointless. then, truck came up with a splendid answer to it, so we decided to publish both. a good decision i think.

Why do I get blamed for everything? A virus is spread, that's Shane's doing. A new troll appears, it must be Shane. Lamers keep releasing fake prods, that's Shane too. Wade writes an article to offend sceners, that must be Shane also...oh but Shane didn't do any of the gfx people liked just the articles and stuff no one likes. I was even accused of being EP when he first appeared!
I'm siding with Truck on the big picture anyway. Yeah those Boozembly dancers are scary but Wade's article took two extremes and was like saying you gotta be a loser to be a scener and being a non scener will make you a winner. Thats bull cos you can find balance. Only the obsessed nerds (like wade himself admitted he was) who get to that state anyway.

Wade's article is pitiful. As if being fashionable was some kind of a merit or you couldn't be successful with girls (/boys) while being a scener. If he needs to have new clothes to attract anyone, that tells more about his shortcomings than sceners.

These sound issues are odd, since we're using bass.dll (BASS!) - on the other hand, it's a 'new one' that 'supports 4 channel mods' - and I wasn't aware that Ian had taken that OUT, as it always worked before (altho not neccesarily correct for soundtracker tunes) (look truck goes on and on about proper playback of mod files, what an utter shock) - so anyway, you MIGHT try replacing bass.dll with another one, tho I dunno if that will help. It's a suggestion. Again, I screwed up and completely forgot that I can't even see this yet cuz I have no Windows (: Will be testing that later on gentoo and see if it workages (:

i hereby officially apologise for the rather unnessecary comments towards maali and gizmo in the 3d charts. i wasn't aware of maali's actual involvement in certain projects, and regarding gizmo i just wanted to say smth smart, sorry =)

excellent issue! I enjoyed wade's article because it was so pointless, I think some people cannot balance their life and scene activities and on dan's part he obviously cannot so he had to leave the scene i guess. You just need a healthy balance to life!
incredible issue.. but they've had almost a year to make it. :) shop around, there is no better diskmag around these days.. maybe c64 mags like attitude and domination come close. dipswitch has no need to apologize for his chart opinions.. if he wrote a whole "[so and so] sucks" article, then maybe a rebuttal would be called for. and so it had no 3d intro or outro.. so what? read the mag and watch a freakin' demo afterwards.
congrats to xxx, like everyone else said. this should encourage more sceners to get married so we can have more issues of pain released. :)

Maybe it's just me, but I found it somewhat ironic how Mr. Wade described leaving the scene as the only way to have a social life and meet girls, especially when considering this issue was released to celebrate the marriage of two sceners. Hmm...
