i strongly doubt it requires shaders, i really don't know what effects oyiseer used but it's highly likely that you have fucked up drvers for your gfx card.
this was... kinda.. weird.. i laughed like hell when i saw this at the screening ;D

ozn, well, it's not extensions, i still would guess it's the video driver, try downgrade / upgrade the driver.
Probably its broken on my computer. By I just saw a very simplistic demo with annoying music.

ozn, i tested it on my radeon 9000 mobility (fujitsu) now, and it works, ive got the original gfx drivers from the laptop manufacturerer.
this one rules, really. runs well even on my r7000 mobility with only some bug here and there with alpha channel, but considering the speed of the show, well, who cares :)
