I recognize I made many tradeoff to fit in the extreme size of 32bytes. It doesn't look like our good old fires, but considering the size it's not that far from them.
173 byte fire at http://www.humbug.net/projects/download/demos/js-fire7.zip. It looks good and you can exit from it, and it's small!
