This is probably the first quality OpenGL demo I saw. 1st place at Gravity 99, September 1999, btw. Runs smooth on a TNT2.

Like Tesla, a classic. Period.

Clean style, fast code, good music (not as good as the tesla tune, but still cool).
Lacks sync (no reaction to the guitars) and concept/meaning (but that's ok, there is enough eye/ear-candy that keeps you entertained...).

still beautiful in a maximalist sort of way.. a little too much motion blur perhaps.. the 2d art was very well done.. very interesting credits part.. music's not bad and is synced alright but didn't really seem to fit the mood of the visuals..

I see this as a 'true' hardware demo... It's not doing the regular software stuff on hardware, but it does stuff that would be impossible in software... Creative (ab)use of fillrate.

Overloaded but still quite beautiful. The credits part is likely the most original one but there really was nothing like this back when this was released. It's interesting how all the sunflower demos are really different styles, this reminds me of older stuff that statix's earlier stuff a bit.

By the way, it runs under modern versions of Windows, but sound will be broken.
