The dream of all coders in the world. Really the best 64k for pc that I see. You must see it!
This intro is a must see. Great work of TBL coders.
3mb of music, 2 mb of gfx, or sth.. TBL jees. the sign of quality.
Very nice one! TBL quality demo. Fine visuals and empowering music!
when i've seen it at the big screen at THE PARTY (not bizarre!!!), i wasn't able to close my mouth for a while. someone next to me, said : " they should be disqualified - they're just too good !!"
this is a 64k milestone...although the colors suck a little bit. (oh-oh.did i wrote something blashpemic?)

this is one of my favourite 64k intros - perhaps because it was the first production i saw after second reality. the music really kicks some ass, i think the track is even better than most commercial techno/goa music (well, i'm really not into that). the colors a slightly overdone, but anything else ist just epic. great fun to watch!
compared with nowadays coding technices kindof simple, but i really love it though the music rocks
one of the best intro 64k.
Just see it.
Just see it.
Too bad they sold it to a company for a Windows Screensaver.
Yeah,. this is my favoritest (Gnia! Gnia! I wrote favoritest again Nuclear =) demo from TBL ever!!!
Very Big! Great visuals! Trance music totally synchronized to the action!!!

a must have, a must see :)
better than "das product" BMO, stunning-not boring
the only good tbl-prod i've seen. this rocks, especially the musics are incredible.
stash is absolutely the best 64k intro ever.. and don't say the product, it's nothing compared to this!
too bad the other tbl prods aren't this good.
too bad the other tbl prods aren't this good.
massive improvement over jizz! I agree that this is one of the best 64ks ever made.
Nothing too unique, but still great - my seven-year old sister loves it.
It always amuses me! It's amazing! It's wonderful!
SO... WHY IS THIS _NOT_ IN THE TOP10??´//%¤//%¤¤#"&#¤!&¤"/
RGB.Randomize(); is one reason for my concern.
where the heck is the 5fingers-up-symbol?
Sure it rulez, c'mon guys ;)
my vote
...
awful colours. bad goa. unimaginative effects and design. but sure nice precalcs that revolved the intros. guess that's worth a nonsucks.
This is what Crest meant with "Thumbs up!". Stash is, to date, the most powerful and action-packed 64Kb intro out there. The music keeps the insane pace going and when you think it's all over... surprise! Absolutely amazing.
The only 64Ks to date worth mentioning besides this masterpiece would be Heaven 7 and Stash's somewhat shorter predecessor, Jizz.
Get this. Really.

RULEZ!RULEZ!RULEZ!RULEZ!RULEZ!RULEZ!
hurts.
A good solid intro. (And I like colours.)
The best TBL prod I've seen. And the goa track can only be played *really* loud.
Just to vote!
just a vote
no particles, no spray-can, just contrasts jizzy clown, humpin' his errected cock.
(come-on guys, just a stupid joke.)
(come-on guys, just a stupid joke.)
poor me, i hate goa and thus i cant even judge this one.. music ruins it all :/
hey Raver !!!!
your nick doesn't fit you're comment ! ;)))))

TBL Rulettaa
COOL ONE!!!
The best TBL prods.
So thumb up!!

One of the first 64k intros having a real kickass softsynth soundtrack.. there had been others doing that way before but this one actually sounds good.
Living legend. I watched it hundred times. One of the best...
uglyness, stupid scenepoetry. argh.
done in 1997 (this automatically annihilates all arguments.. the technical aspects of this intro were mindblowing for its time, those of the product were not), not half as much scenepoetry as in the average replay production..
okay i agree the colors are awful, but this still is a milestone.
thumbs up for the ex-kings

Why are those colors awful? I think the textures fit this type of intro perfectly.
Im tired of people calling one color tint intro/demos stylish. Really tired even...
Fantastic intro!

Fantastic intro!
i think it's a matter of taste.. i loved the ptct colorscheme, so i guess i'm not calling it awful because i'm a "design hippie"
"Why are those colors awful?"
Rob, Superplek. I'll forgive you since you're both Dutch. :)
What comes to the intro it had technically some pretty impressive stuff at that time. So even if colors, texts and design sucks I can't give a thumb down for it.

Sjaak: Well at least not PTCT. :)
Ok, ok. I know goa style intros are ment to have psychedelic goa colours. So it's not entirely TBL's fault and I could blame instead those Indian hippies who invented the whole damn thing.

I'd rather watch psychedelic goa-colors and great code like in stash, than the average "i can't code so i'll just call it design" flatshaded intro/demo 'o' bullshit.
and besides, stash is a classic, so stfu :)
and besides, stash is a classic, so stfu :)
Don't like music and colors, but when I watched it for the first time it took me a while to understand how they did it.
still one of the best intros.
I didn't vote on this baby so far? Gosh!
Anyway, the greatest thing was when they showed the intro at TP7, the screen went black, everyone was applauding and cheering...
... sone lonely voice from the back of the hall shouted "part two!" ...
... everyone was laughing ...
... and then part two started. And the laughter was stuck in everyone's throats. It was just TOO unbelievable.
Stash definitely was a milestone, manifested the concepts of softsynths and the dutch color scheme(TM) in everyone's mind, and finally put an end to all those "hey, i can do marching cubes, too" intros. Definitely a thumbs up.
(and btw, i love it that people use to diss our productions in other prods' comments. just shows that we're famous, nothing more, nothing less *g*)

yeah!
I like jizz more than stash actually. Even though stash has got the finer effects, jizz has got the better music..
i cannot see why dutch colourschemes(tm) and design should exclude each other.
thid prod rulez... i like to see it again and again and show it to my friends... :)
thid prod rulez... i like to see it again and again and show it to my friends... :)
classic. jizz's well deserved sequel
Impressive. A must-see, must-hear, and must-remember!
this (with jizz of course) proved me that you can make good demos for win32.
as cool as the technical side of the intro may be, as lame is the rest. ugly colors, crappy music and the worst scene lyrics in history.
The 2nd parts music, ooOOHHH!
BLUISH rox my world!!! Nice intro too =)

Humm....
I don't think it's THAT great. But yes, it's good, and they've pushed a lot into 64kB. (For those saying `remember this is 1997', I saw it for first time in 98 ;-) )

Where is the optimization we've lost in hardware acceleration?
what a jizzing clown is? what TBL's production methods are?
quite good, but maybe lacks something..
ok, the musick was the more interesting part at the time this intro got released.
oh this is funny
"compared with nowadays coding technices kindof simple, but i really love it though the music rocks "
(in a comment far above this one)
i dare to say that only 10 to 20 percent of nowadays intros reach the amount of work and "technical insights" it took to make something like this (and still takes)

haha .. goa + colors that defined the dutch colorscheme :P
i liked it in 97-98, then my tastes somehow changed :)
still a great intro .. i hate myself for still liking it :P
well, everyone has bad tastes :P

roxxxx!
This totally blew me away. The music, the effects, the sheer size of the thing. Amazing! Still one of my favourite intros.
After all, still a classic thing, you can't seriously hate it. ;)
Some of the best you can get when it's about dos intros. And probably the first 'demo in 64k' long time before FR was born ;)
in-cred-a-bal, un-stopp-a-bal...
Even better having read kb's description of the party where it was shown - total 0wnage.
THE first demo I ever saw, and it was a LONG time before I found anything better (.the .product, but that's a different story) and here I am.
This is by far the best of its time. It's still cool today, and the goa track rocks! And I first saw it in 2000, so nya.

one of my favorites, btw.
the pc intro.
the music is superb!
the music is superb!
Was perhaps my favourite prod at the time. Amazing intro back then, nothing else compared!
Just smoke a nice fat joint, and turn down the lights.

superb!
beautiful.
Rox!
where is probe? is he still doing music?
Dutch colour scheme! Nice effects, but too long and the textures are kind of ugly. Music is brilliant of course.. this was a milestone, but I still like Jizz better.
tbl nl
'tintro' neutralizer
Just great. Also one of my favourite musics for a 64k.
.ixalance :D
yay goa!
rocks my world
Nice!!!
best intro ever
Great stuff!!!
like it, especially the rotating tentacle ball at the end
This was soo great on the bigscreen at TP.
Thumb up for the technical aspect
TBL power! Very powerful soft-synth and great effects.
Was that the first cross-platform production ever done?
Just contrasts Jizzing klown... Before I've always guessed what it meant :)

but those colors :S
Really kick ass - I remember people booing at the bigscreen progressbar, quickly turned into pure awe.
superb!
awesome code, awesome softsynth and awesome music !
I prefer heaven7, but this one is very good! :)
Very good for 1997.
With this one i used to shock my school-mates around '98 at some informatix lessons, they couldn't believe it's only 64k :)
they should ;-)
this one is in my top 10 64k demo list
also in my collection :)
like it, music is a bit dull tho
not voting yet? shame on me! there it is/ Rulez!
this was sure a big step back in 97....what ever happened to Probe and the PC div. of TBL?
Windows version:

it didn't age well, that's for sure...
It's not my taste but I think it's good for its time.
MAC PORT PLZ!!
fav. classic
Not bad for 1997 but still a bit boring. Part2 is nice.
THE 64k intro during so many years.
tbl heerst
After all these years, it has lost a bit of its luster, but it still remains a fantastic intro.
=)
great graphics (logotypes, 3Ds) and effects (stretches, sprites, lights), modern music
is the source available for porting btw ?
dark colorfull overlay of water ripples, 3D moving stars lighting, texture, TBL logotype appears wobbling and disappears zooming out, rotating, the screen gets brighter
music: techno
3D tube object, knot, texture mapped, shaded, morphing, colorfull textured background, rotating, names appear and zoom out, the screen get white of droplets and then clears and the title "Stash" appears
tunnel mapping effect and some words on it, zooming out
texture mappings,
pink 3D object, morphing, with reflection and shading, texture mapped, rotates and the background texture, too
godesses logotype
again a 3D metallic reflecting object, morphing, rotating and background
spermatozoids moving around
hole, 3D, texture mapped, blue ball particles moving out of it like a fountain, words zooming out
textured background rotating, a bright light in the middle from which a 3D metallic object comes out, morphes a lot, mirror reflections, and enters the light again
metallic metaballs
tentacles of light, 3D, rotating
3D object, knot, brown saw texture, the blue ball particles around it, the title and group

Amazing I didn't vote

masterpiece
TBL/.nl's finest hour and still worth watching!
holy moly, the music!
Holy moly, the music!
great
where is my thumb??
this was a masterpiece (and still to some extend is)..
this was a masterpiece (and still to some extend is)..
Just for the record, I hated how it sounded with only 512k on my GUS.. some of the samples were missing and the music kind of did a strange *sqwieeerrrrrr* sound at one point..
oh yeahhh!
so great. the music is mind-blowing.
I don't know why but there's something bothering me about this. Might be technically advanced but those 3d scenes aren't into my liking. Also, feels overrated.
Good for a 64K at its time. Good soundtrack.
This is the demo caused me to enter demoscene.
Amazing prod.
such a GREAT demo :)
and even has a 4d-Julia already :) mega-soundtrack aswell :)=
Work with DOSBox on AmigaOS!! AMiGA Rulez!! ==))
still rulez
Rules!
OWNAGE.
MUSIC!
greatness
Wtf never thumped this up? bummer.. sorry guys.. and thanx that we may use some gfx in our '98 amiga intro Shema..
very solid
I remember stumbling across the commercial of this version later. Champagne everywhere.
THE best 64k of all time. twelve years after still no competition ;)
Very good.
Still superb!
Nice one. The music is kinda meh though.
Impressive one ! The first time I saw it, when the second part starts... wow... 64k !!
Splendid and what a soundtrack
always loved this one, but never voted.
Love this demo since long and decided to make a better Youtube for it too. It's bit upscaled for Youtube.
Youtube(HD)
Youtube(HD)
WOW!! Reminds me old good times ^_^
Completely blew me away at TP
there is a milkdrop port missing ;)
The first production who ever managed to make the audience cheer so loud that I had to use earplugs AFTER the intro was over.
Classic.
amazing 64k
true.
cool goa-shock to 1997 demobrain
This was indeed very cool back in the 90s
Very techno/goa.
I thought I had commented on this. Really hard to pull this of better, especially in -97.
Still awesome, never lost it's touch.
Perfection!
a classic and it was unbelievable at the time.
rulez
Classic intro
great!
oh yeah
Still kicks ass, after so many years! I remember when I saw this first time and realized it was only 64K, with all those effects and especially the music, it totally dropped my jaw and I'm still partially recovering it from the ground :D
Even if this has been heavily packed, it is still quite amazing :P
YES
One of my favourites!
Thumbs up for ixalance!
TBL demos and intros are awesome. Magics on every platform. And the Stash is one of best intros i ever saw. And the soundtrack is the bomb. So great. <3
Good old TBL! On of the first prods I ran on my new-old P233 DOS demo machine.
still good till today
The milestone.
This gave TBL a second life and an opening into the PC back in the time.. together with Jizz.
together with Jizz this one was the best from 90s on PC
jace for president!
they don't make 'em like this anymore :D
The Pulfrich Effect works fine with this demo
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulfrich_effect
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulfrich_effect
This was the top 64K during the 90s - early 2000s era. Still great!
I remember it being good for its time. Hasn't necessarily aged well, though.
Nasty trick!
huge improvement over jizz and astral blur, and 64K only!
