The colors in this demo are simply fantastic. This is my favorite in the compo.

Oh wait this one also had the demo or die bit in it too - what with the evil plant reaching up and trying to grab you through the ceiling at least once. Great lighting in this one. Reminded me very much of watching 'demos' on early pc's, what with their inability to display things in pixels but in huge bricks. Yeah, I miss it too, I'll shut up now (:
Well executed colors for the normal textmode palette although it's pretty noisy. :)
did you notice the fish eye camera? ah, text mode demos - where raytracing finally comes into its own
BTW, cannot be 100% sure but to me it doesn't look like RTRT but mostly animations... ;-) (doesn't really matter though)
I'm not too fond of flybys and the dithering is noisy, but the colors are still great!

i took party.bat and thought "what the fuck", but then i tried it with compo.bat and it was GREAT. now that's a real ANSI demo that deserves this title. i wish there was more 2d though, but that's lazy blackmaiden for ya. hugs to ave for actually doing smth!

macaw: the kaleido logo is done by ave - read the credits part and the infofile where it says "2d avenger mnemonix". get a pair of new glasses! =)

Experiment colors is kool. Teh trick looks great sometimes, but sometimes flashy. Not so clean.

That's an understatement :) Good show guys, love color experiments.
I prefer textdemos using the whole ascii charset (like tAAt's or libcaca), not only these huge blocks that finally just look like huge pixels. Trying to have cool rendering using all ascii fonts is what makes textdemos interesting and different imo.

has a very advanced converter, watched it most-often of all textmode-demos ever so far ! (except signal2droidz ofcoz) the other versions are nice aswell ! too bad its just a fly-by ! 2-3 real effects would have made it unbeatable ;)

Stumbled on this by wanting to see more of what Avenger did, after I just watched pageturner from blackmaiden for the nth time.
And I have to say that this is by far the best TextModeDemo (or ANSImode?) so far, the logo scene is so damn well done, together with the music it's really a neat experience.
Really loved the last scene as well, cool logos =)
Also the planet-d download seems to be gone, however http://scene.org/file.php?file=/demos/compos/tmdc7/fixedsys_final.zip is up.
