i partially like the music, but i think it's a bit overloaded with effects.

How can a demo be *overloaded* with effects? And all of them were really cool in my opinion, except that weird voxel (?) river thing that ran about 2fps on a 633mhz.

One of the most effective demos seen in 2000, cool dezign, stunning 2d visuals, superb gfx,...a bit slow on the landscape part(in my opinion that part was unnecessary ;)... in conclusion new fresh effects & lot of design
it's kinda perfect, it's well designed, graphics are cool, effects look nice and the music is okay as well... it doesn't touch my heart though. dunno dunno dunno why.
There. Noice deserve a thumbs up for this one. :) Every part looks great, except the slow landscape part in the middle. The music and graphics simply rule. If you don't like emphasis on effects (for some crazy reason) then maybe you won't like it so much. It could've won any Swedish party, too bad they picked Assembly 2k and got 9th. :)

Very nice demo with an awesome soundtrack. Too bad it was done in a hurry, the meta-torus part and the river flyby aren't as good as the rest of the demo... Still one of the best demos from Assembly'00.

The first part has _excellent_ design, very well fitting in with the demo. The second part (ie. after the lame landscape scene) doesn't work at well, but it's nowhere near destroying the impression from the first one. Great job :-)

This is definitly one of my favorite demo. I have it on my hd since the results of ASM00 came out and I'm still watching it once in a while.
Awesome music & timing. Kickass effects, nice design, nice artwork, nice everything.
And yes, it's very surprising that it didn't end with a better result that than at ASM.

time went, somewhen looked at it again and, yeah got some vibe, in fact it got an oldskool spirit overall and also this hm.. lets call it "scene factor", it was 100% pure scene production (it doesnt look like 3D game or videoart). purist demo. very good!
I didn't get bored by this. very cool music. big applause! great design! and the coder did a very good job! :)

kusma/excess: Seriously, no matter how you put it, this demo doesn't suck. I can respect if you don't think it is worth a "rulez" because everyone has different tastes but you have to be more specific than that if you think it sucks that much, you are the only one with a thumb down in this thread.
Cool effects and great music. I especially liked the fractals on the screenshot scene.
Some ok code, but the overall impression is ruined by the lousy attempts at "design like the skilled designers do it". Would've gotten a thumb up if they stripped out all the crap and injected a bit of attitude....

Overall an excellent demo, although some of the coding aspects could have been optimized. The track sets a lovely mood, and the gfx is quite frankly, very impressive. The beginning has some real good design, with the lines and frames =)

i've always loved noice (of my my fav groups) - and sometimes i think this is a magical demo.. but admittedly there's some ugly bits.
Oil vectors are boring, landscape scene is ugly, as is and opening credits, bottom text gets boring.
screen 2d gfx composition and music is fantastic though... so pig.

This is my favorite noice demo. It had some great SW rendering, effects, ideas, typography associated with them, slow moody flow with moody music, it was great (although too slow in my old PC the year this came, but now I can fully enjoy)

Cool design, veru "numedia", but also very rough around the edges in some aspects. Kinda the standard reference for what a demo should've been in the year 2000 I think.
imo balancing between relatively fancy and definitely ugly in terms of gfx, although I like first part (before greetings) and music
but I can't force myself to not pressing escape on second part seeing so much inyourface and visually unpleasant stuff, sorry :) so piggie it is
