krabob: it's gDM. great pixel graphician, one of the best amiga ascii artists of the mid-90s and a very nice mailcontact.
on and there was dMD too, who was graphician and ascii artist in LKR as well... dunno which one you mean then, but both are great. =)
russian amiga scene was indeed small, but it kicked ass. fuckings to team power amiga who are acting right now as if they introduced amiga to russia, at the same time being 100* worse than LKR.
