WOW. .stylo. this is the way it should be, really. there are *very* few productions that managed to impress me like this one did, and equinox has done it for the second time now...again they delivered the unexpected in a fabulous fresh manner. i envy their style. this intro is perfect. damn, i can´t stop smiling like an idiot :)

It took Keops some times before getting used to windows 64k coding, and open gl usage, but I guess that now he don't have anymore problems :)

I cant do much to fix runtime speed issues encountered with a few ATI cards/Drivers and OpenGL when I dont own any ATI card myself. ATI Drivers (especially those for Radeon) seem to handle OpenGL states a very different than those from Nvidia, that's why the SOTA 2004 invit had unexpected slowdowns on some Ati/Drivers combo, whereas it runs at 60fps on my GF2mx. I'll fix them when I get a Radeon.

Well the oldschool still rulez! Everything i miss on the pc scene is there to feel in this screen: Spirit and a lot of Vodka! Design over Technology. Very very cool work. Keops must be over an hundred years by now... Those frenchies are incredible :) A must have for everyone interested in oldschool design.

Am I missing something here? Why is this in "Top of the pops"???? It's an _ok_ invitetro with simplistic design. Not simplistic as in minimilist complexity...but just plain simple verging on boring.

I downloaded this intro after seeing it nominated for several Scene.org award categories. Indeed I like it very much: it's perfect. Clean style, music and design perfectly fitting the theme. Great work!

Incredible production with so many nice little details that I just recognized even after a couple of running the demo/intro/whatever. This is an intro that - for me personally - reflects what the old spirit was all about: fun. Not like the wanna-be-tough demos that flood the scene so much these days. Great job Keops/Reed!

It is really nice and cute invitation successfully creating the intended Evoke-2004-playground-theme feeling and I can understand why some people love it. Therefore thumb up! But I can’t see why this relatively “harmless” invitation is in the all-time-top-10 while much, much more sophisticated things like chaos theory are not – maybe time will solve this problem.

Clarence : it happens with a lot of 64k because of the .exe packer used : Kkrunchy.
A lot of viruses / trojans use that packer so AV softwares end up flagging almost anything using Kkrunchy as a virus.
You can safely run it, we did not have any room in those 64k to include a virus, don't worry :)

well, they refuse to remove the "suspicious packer checking" which affects quite a few demoscene packers like kkrunchy which have been around for years.
Don't be bad guys, at least, there are WALKING CHAMFERED CUBES in this virus.

Pretty sure I thumbed this one up years ago, always loved this, but just wanted to chip in on the exe-packer thing as someone who has written a couple. They feed you a line about supplying them a depacker for your stuff, but if you supply what they ask for, they don't actually do anything with it. They're just trying to get you to sod off.
The next exe-packer I write will only be made available to my team so that this isn't an issue.
