I appreciate the concept, but watching a voxelscape for 4 minutes is a bit much. Oh well, it's still more interesting than the intros released at Dialogos, for instance.

macaw: i haven't seen this prod, but some HJB prods seem to be updating with the OnPaint message, and that doesn't happen in XP if you don't do something else.
Try moving your mouse or keep a key pressed. It worked for me on Estrange under XP

Way cool! Can't you people see that this is an expression of art? This intro is not trying to impress with smooth graphics, but rather with concept.
The best I can describe this is as 'experimental'. The (intentional) skips ruin (imho) the otherwise very good music. Also it made me remember my CGA 4 color era. Finally, flad, thanks! Your tip helped me see this demo, and the Lobotomia 2 too. Macaw, we seem to have the same problems with haujobb prods.

for some reason "expressions of art" always look like shit to me. this sound sounds like shit too. no disrespect, it's just not something I can like. oh and btw: xhale even said at the partyplace that he thought it was cool when someone said "is there something wrong with the display?". so hopefully he will find this comment cool too :)
do you know why it was cool when that person said that? because the aesthetics of this intro are the aesthetics of disfunctionment: elevating bugs/errors to the level of intention/art.

very interesting one, reminds me of satori stuff. more background f/x would sure be nice, and the texts 'it hurts, please make it stop' etc., that were (I guess) meant to emphatize the message, actually weaken it instead (for me at least).. the text 'it looks so sweet, I feel just fine' would fit much better.. 8)

i love it. watch it all the time. the music is great and the 3 colors-scheme works like hell. one of this years coolest 64k-intros, that's for sure.

Well messed up, but perhaps a bit _too_ messed up. I can enjoy it, but it's not the greatest intro I've seen -- especially given that's generally only that voxel landscape. Cool to see Droid and Exhale do something untraditional, though :-)

I'm using XP.. and I saw a white window at the beginning too. I quickly got it working by pressing some keys and then attempting the move the mouse around and click the window (it was all a blur but it did the trick ;)).
Also, was the music supposed to crap out entirely sometimes? I can usually tell what's part of a demo.. this time I think it's an XP+demo issue (?).

The intro is not very interesting, but such design (namely noise) is my kind of boatride. It sure beats yet another Visualice 3d show.
Expectancy: View it once, then delete it. See it during a demoshow in the middle of the night while being shitfaced drunk later in life.

i know this one for years, and i never see another thing with so tidy and join design and that such impress me. The music/sound seem to be part of graphics, or the reverse. i know the texte is a little silly and nonsense, but, still a sort of model of audiovisual computer art for me. My number 1 here on this site.
