The performace of this demo is almost entirely dependent on your graphic cards, and foremost its drivers. The demo relies heavily on the pbuffer extention to opengl, and a good implementation of the extention is vital for good performance. For standard cards (nvidia and ati) this should not be a problem if the drivers is somewhat up to date. On laptops, the performance hit of a "bad" driver is even more noticeable
, since gfx memory is normally slower than on a "normal" computer. And as we all know, 3d performance on laptops aint so great to begin with.

I liked the athmosphere of this one, although music could be a bit better for my taste.

Rejects me half way through loading. :(
Shane: it does that on crappy graphics cards. like mine in the office, a intel extreme graphics 2 card for example. i think it has to do with a bad opengl implementation and the fact that the cards shares memory with the computer. If you have a nvidia or ati card of somewhat newer model we like to know the specs...

hangs, but the loading finishes and the demo starts without sound :?

Kenho: I'm using a Geforce TI4200 64mb. Driver problem perhaps?
Shane: It works fine on my Geforce 3 Ti 200, so it should work fine on your card. probably a driver issue, so I recommend updating your drivers to the latest stable drivers. Please let us know if you don't get it to work despite new drivers. Thanx!

Oldskool :-) Looks awful in "normal" quality, much better (but much slower) in "high" quality, hangs with "über" (Gf3). And - we've all seen the inside of a torus...

Horrible "music", so-so visuals and an even more so-so framerate.

Runs fine on P3-1300+512mb+FX5200 , but the demo itselft if boring and the music is really not my taste ... Anyway, this is far from suck, so piggie today.

Visuals ok.. Well, it's ok.

half of the demo runs in like 2 fps (athlon xp 2800+, 512MB ram, gf4ti4200)

fix: since p-buffers are a relatively new addition to opengl, you may want to upgrade your drivers. The drivers that came with your card when you bought it two years ago, just doesn't cut the mustard anymore.
