Marching cubes this slow is hard too find! As shifter said, the camera has no trouble, what so ever, with taking shortcuts thru walls and that is something I really hate. And guys, calculate a couple of normals, turn on some light and google for shadow tutorials. As it is now it's just awfull slow for no reason. Go thru your code and see if you find your bootleneck, somewhere something gets lost and sure seams to have a hard time finding the way back.
We have all to learn somewhere in time so I wont thumb this down. However, lighting, correct texture mapping, nice colors and better keyframing are something you should definitively looks into.

I think most of you are pretty harsh... The prod could use work, but I was able to watch it from beginning to end which is more than I can say for all productions.

Hey huys, you seem to be very rude with them, for sure there are lots of mistakes and errors in this demo but anyway...
To Division Zero : keep demomaking, this is a good start, just try to get nice lighting on your meshes, some more detailed textures (do not tile them that much) and keep your camera outside of the geometry... Here are good points to start with, good luck ;)

Well, I've always liked maF's tunes =)
But the 3d is well... seriously in need of detail texturing (multi, and not as tiled), lighting, and smooth shading (which are all a must for basic 3d rendering)... Calculating vertex normals really shouldn't be too complicated to learn, and would make a huge difference.
Also, calculating camera spline paths and making sure they don't intersect with polys might be a good idea =)
Anyways, good luck on future demos!

Very buggy engine. The texturing was very haphazard and looked very tiled in most sections. Colours did not go well together and either clashed or were too gawdy. Mostly a mix of both. Music wasn't inspired and there was no sync between visuals. Modelling was also too simple and not interesting.
