Yeah, this is a really great demo, and it's especially good due to the musics from Rapido.

It's one of the best ST demos ever.

Notify that the musics won't probably sounds as it should on emuls as it uses a sid technik which hasn't been emulated right by now.

this demos was, is and will be one of the main sources of inspiration for us dutch atari ppl
fokk everything exept this, but equinox still owns it.
The main menu and Crapman only would deserve a "rulez", fortunately the rest of the demo is really good as well (like the introduction screens of the 3d part) !

That demo is simply brilliant ! (music and gfx). But as a coder, I have to underline the code quality !! Especially the Rapido 3d code is very impressive and contains a lots of new technics ! I really like the "log 3d transform" optimized rout in the "dessert part". (3d dots). Really impressive code ! (Adding to that, I meet Rapido at ST-Niccc and he's a very nice person !)

my only comment would be that it has some 3d routs repeated for eternity. still, they are great even if they're shown too long.

Even without a single effect or picture this demo would get thumbs up. Scavenger is just an amazing chipmusican..
Quite a large portion of good ST music comes from this demo.
its a perfect megademo.. synergy impressed me so much :)
It has that SID sound that was used also in a recent Speccy demo trying to play SID sounds. That music rulez! I didn't figured that before, prolly because it's too long and I passed through the parts..

Ah they made the Dutch scene look good, lol. Excellent demo.
Arf can't believe this one with only 2 cdc ... More guys ;-) This is totally mega cool code and the gfx ... Fantastic ... Mic and I meet one of the coder of this one during the STnicc Convention it was a really good discussion with technically parts ;-) And real sympatic guy ... Thumb up for this one too ;-)

Hi, this is Arcade of Synergy. Great to see the scene again. I just love all the comments here on Pouet! Especially the Crapman comments which was my one contribution to the demo -> leveldesign. Shame that we lost contact with each other over the years. I only have contact with Zanac at the time so... any Syns out there?

bought this demo at a local shop here in South Africa - maybe the best Atari ST demo ever made, especially the 3D screen! and just awesome music by Joris de Man!!

Speaking about the 3d parts, is everything done in the same frame or do they precalc the 3d and face culling during the text screens before each scene to use all CPU time for the actual rendering?
Also, with objects of that size, I wonder if it uses some kind of span buffer to avoid overdraw, and even change the palette per frame to render the fewest number of bitplanes possible per frame
