Well, this is what happens when the year is 2024, your group's name is NGC, and some nebula in space is actually named NGC 2024.

indeed, the voices are AI and I must admit blunt... Still, the music is human, the bass and most keyboards (&clavi) were human played, the rest was done in MIDI with a DAW.

Interesting concept.
The trackloader is very sensitive: It worked on one drive - but didn't on another, where the music degraded to noise, without any indication of a problem.

Impressive to fit this music on a single floppy!

Very nice. But use a better trackloader next time.

The trackloader is not faulty here, LDOS rocks hard, as ever. This demo streams and decompresses on the fly more than 3mn of audio while saturating the DMA with 32 colors images and FX using the EHB's 6th plane. If the data from the disk comes too late (probably due to older drives with slower seeks), the music decompression system starves and the demo goes buggy. We updated with a version that pauses, and displays a message if loading takes too long (then unpauses when data is ready). You might experience micro-interruptions of the demo on slower drives (sorry about that).

Thanks! I've seen the message several times with shabby disks and/or drives, works with medium disk on medium drive. Timing still appears a bit "optimistic". :-)

Has to be a record-holding OCS prod for the longest singing voice. I am a sucker for boundary-pushing prods. Very creative. Trackloading IMHO is the lost art that the new generation of sceners is trying to revive. It's going to be tough to approach something like the Sanity Operating System (https://aminet.net/package/dev/asm/SanityOperationSystem).. or even the trackloader in Desert Dream (works on all machines, detects floppy swaps and will load off of an external drive)

It's amazing prods like this that I think, had this been show at the Amiga launch party in New York in 1985, it would have dropped many jaws! Imagine, singing on a 1985 computer when all others at the time could only manage beeps!

Music is really nice, but rest of the demo is a bit simple :) (and why put fullbright stars to the first scene..) Nice how fast it booted to the loading screen. The load timing seems to be very tight, as even Gotek shows the red text and stutters at one point. Anyway, unusual and bold stuff for the A500.

And about the "AI song"; how would you even know the voice is AI generated? It fits the music very well and doesn't sound artificial or bad in any way. Is it just the expectation that demoscene musicians don't know any humans that can sing? (I've worked with many in the past)

I don't think I've watched an A500 demo with this much singing in it before! New sing record!
