Those kind of bugs can be tricky. Hopefully you will fix it somehow.
Great demo, congrats!
Massive (uv maps?) tech on top on a trackloader that does some serious powerlifting, my 1200 drive doesn't like the disk, 500 and 600 is happy with it. Great demo!
forgot to thumb, i'm getting old
Shiny!
Killer!
Pheeeew
I really liked this, though at some parts the colors were way too coderish.
Absolutely loved it. Very coherent and stylish.
an excellent demo, everything is brilliant
Just wondered a couple of days ago if there would be a another demo
by gigabates for the Amiga / OCS or if he lost interest in that machine.
And bam, I get the answer. He is back with reinforcement (an entire
gang of SilverSurfers). Oh...my...gosh... I have never seen something
like that before. Mindblowing what a ca. 40 year old machine is capable
of if you know to press the right keys. Thank you guys for that great
release - a firework in all departments!

What a beautiful and colorful demo. So refreshing.
forgot to say that I fuckin' love the soundtrack too.
I really don't like the music and some of the colour choices are questionable, the effects and flow are pretty nice though.
Awesome to see such massive demo on OCS standard config! Hope to see more from you in the future. Congratz DSR, great job!
lovely!
Nice
Awesome, thank you for feeding my old Amiga :D
Cool both technically and artistically!
Massive uv table fx. I was just wondering the other day if there is oldschool potential besides just the tunnel, and oh boy. Pure love all around.

Same here.
Feels realy fresh to me!
.enjoyable. cool it works ok on a1200 as well.
Spectacular. Best of the year for me.
Watched it three times during the party! ;-) Also great tune by mAZE!
Bravo! Fantastic demo.
Oldskoooooooooooool !
The compo machine was my best A500 with the best disk drive, which I use for final testing of OCS trackmos. Tried on another Rev.5 A500 and the crash happened there too.
A hell of a demo, so don't worry about it. I've seen Guardian Dragon and others crash on the bigscreen too.

veeeeery nice
Chapeau.
Great one!
Pretty massive!
it was really nice, pity about the bug, hopefully you guys get it fixed. Demo so strong that even Guru Meditation can't destroy the positive feeling!
Very cool
That was a lot of fresh stuff going on! Not sure if the soundtrack and the visuals mix perfectly, but it kind of works
Wow! Beautifull design!
I have to say that, in general, I prefer the clean and smooth 1x1 effects style that the A500 hardware was designed for, rather than the low-resolution chunky fxs, but this demo has very beautiful parts in spite of that. Congratulations guys!
Another OCS classic, great job guys!
Great achievement! I love how this avoids becoming overly bombastic and stays cool and somewhat mellow. But the scenes and effects are just awesome.
Well thought exquisite scenes, might cheer up even the most cynical minds a bit. Works on A600. Downer: the doughnut isn't round!
Brilliant!
some very nice 3d stuff for A500!
Great !!!!
7mhz is enough 4 all ! another AGA demo on A500
félicitations
félicitations
next level. loved it <3
Some of this was at times quite cheesy style wise, but apart from that this was a great show and a well deserved first place.
You've really buried the rest of the entries. 😂

Very nice and runs on every 1MB A500. Superb!
Wow! Massive effects and some really cool ideas when it comes to the concept/design/gfx. Overall one of the best A500 demos of recent years in my book even though there are some questionable color choices here and there :)
Oh wow! I really dig old(ish) school demos that manage consistency in the visuals and here it was so, even if a bit at the cost of using same core effect many times. I also liked the slightly abstract story telling here; could have been done even without the text but the text was not the worst kind of scene poetry so even that was ok.
Wonderful demo!! Congratulations!! Well done!
I really like what mAZE has brought to the table here. Very impressive demo overall!
Impressive code and very good demo overall. Is the dutch color scheme about to make a comeback?-)
No problems running it on my A1200.

Fantastic demo. Soothing to watch. Good message!
Table effects galore. On the positive side, some of it looks very nice and fluid for A500. On the negative side, the fact that you have 4096 colors doesn't mean you have to use all of them at the same time :-) And the music and gfx don't always cooperate, e.g. it happily plays its merry tune while there is a black screen and then a slow pan. Overall a good showing.
Wow, I really loved that! Ham-mode all the way, cyber color theme, even torus blocky polygons in ham :)
very nice demo. congrats guys!
Really cool with nice ideas. A deserved 1st place.
Great prod! Crafted with love and passion. Visuals look to me like an improved version of Lawnmower Man :)
Cool, inspiring demo. Good job guys!
koney is right! great demo, cool theme, done well! watched it many times already.
beautiful animations there. cool greetings part and absolutely loving the uplifting soundtrack! - the chords and that voice-melody on the hook .. <3
only nay for me were the coder colors(tm) and the big logo. (looks ai (don't know if it is) and feels to me that it would need some more pixelling time/color ajudstment tbh. ) excellent demo anyway, thank you!

No more pants for me! And I'm too young to realize this is all just table effects
Great Job for OCS!!!
Amazing to see this on an A500 OCS with 1MB. Looks like AGA stuff streamed vom harddisk. Lots of WTF/minute included. I have some ideas how it is done technically, and I'd really like to know more about the "How?".
Stylish, slick, impressive.
Fantastic production! But may I beg for a patch version without that main vocal? It's too loud and hell of annoying! :D
Way cool!
Pellicus and gigabates, some of my favorite coders uniting for an envelope-pushing prod! I am a coder, so I loved it that steffest absolutely made sure we know every scan was as 4096 color as it can be, and Mace's music reminded me so much of parts of Speed by Sim Productions
Now for a technical question:
Did anyone succeed in runnning this on a real Amiga 500 with a floppy drive?
The only way I could get it to work is to use a brand new Gotek with an AT32F435 and run the ADF from it.
No matter what I did, I could not get it to run on (brand new) Nashua DD floppies or an older Gotek. Tested on an Amiga 500 and an Amiga 1200. Both worked once I figured out that the ADF here needed a new-ish Gotek (at least for me). Older Gotek's would crash on random parts and floppies would not pass the bootsector no matter what I did (red or cyan screen).
Seems like the trackloader is really picky. I tried both X-Copy and Retrogiovedi's WAFFLE to image the disk. Even with the most conservative settings, multiple erases, precompensation, the adf here would not run even for a second from a real floppy.

Yes, absolutely. With optimum equipment (A500, disks and mechanical disk drive in good/very good conditions) it bugs out here in not more than about 1 in 20 attempts.
Now works on A500 with a floppy, I have no real explanation why. There'a a daemon in the trackloading code here, anyway, as I said, love how much this prod pushes the OCS platform
My first try with Sony's floppy disk failed (gave just red screen), second with TDK worked. Both are HD. Copied with TransADF.
Very classy, I enjoyed this one a lot.
Impressive demo!
Truly wonderful!
Very good demo. At last someone's using the palette colour cycling in a way that makes sense. Nice and fresh.
Cool demo and nice track!
Clever idea, truly enjoyed that one on bigscreen.
Really enjoyed this one. It has some of the best movetables on Amiga 500 config. I esp. liked the horizontal scrolling one with the guy walking in front.
(demo works everytime on my 1 MB Chip Amiga 600 with real diskdrive, three different kickstarts on 68000 and 68020. Maybe a 512/512-related problem then?)

We're working on it! ;) I'm helping out the chaps to determine what's going on as I seem to have the perfect setup to kill the trackloader before the demo even starts!. This, hamazing final and even lossos new demo are all affected.
Anyway, fantastic demo. Lovely graphics, coherant, solid uplifting soundtrack, awesome effects. Well done chaps, you've landed a banger.
thumage!
awesome!
fresh!
Holy, Moly!
It looks amazing. Please continue to create demos for Amiga.
stunning!
Wow, this was cool !!
superbe
Very cool!
OK. Nice tune.
What Sesse and noname said.
awesome
Nice!
Awesome!
Really fantastic code here. I would love to see any sort of technical write-up or notes.
I missed to vote this masterpiece. Thanks for that, seeing this at Deadline was very entertaining !
Great demo! Consistent design throughout that manages to look fresh and modern. Cool tune too!
Very nice and colourful!
good stuff!
Love it!
Best I seen in awhile. Gratz!
crazy demo! Thank you for releasing it at Deadline! I have seen it so many times already, but I cannot get enough of it. Great code, style, mood, message and fantastic soundtrack.
great!!!
Beautiful. But the soundtrack is quite unremarkable.
Yep
WOW! Great job, guys! Superb! My godnessss)))
Thank you for this detailed write-up @gigabates! This will be very interesting to read!
Really good!
Table-effects on steroids!
I like how you kept it varied with different c2p modes.
Very nice work and thanks for the write-up!

Very nice work and thanks for the write-up!
I still have hard time to believe that this actually was an OCS demo. Fresh and awesome!
Thanks a lot for this read-worthy and comprehensive write-up; I would
give another thumb if I had a second digital one :-)
