Yeah we just figured out it's an AMD issue. In the name of squeezing just one more scene in we replaced the math functions to external ones and the synth suffered for it. I'll try to make room for them SOMEHOW, and if I can we'll release a final. (We're 20 bytes below 64k, and we couldn't even fit a non-symmetrical precalc bar in there :D)

It's still good old apEx we've been using since Supermode (2014!), but thanks to its great flexibility we were able to explore a new PBR workflow here. It's fair to say though that we've pushed it to its limits with this one, and never have we had to employ so many tricks and find optimal shortcuts both code and content-wise, to fit the size limit. The title refers mostly to the shift in style and themes in contrast to our previous few intros.

Wow. An insanely amount of stuff going on there: a cassette, lots of abstract objects, platonic solids or geometric objects, arrows, cards, pills, a bomb, paper airplanes, amiga ball, lego bricks, swinging lightbulb, globe, popcorn, chocolate-bar, coin, doughnut, nuts, diskettes, cubes, some kind of landscape, space invaders, a balloon, a clock, spheres, butterflies, piggybank with coins, a camera, LP, an american inspired license plate and the list goes on with abstract objects. I liked the sync with the rotating card and the license plate, the coin and I would like to see the butterfly scene longer to see the motions but I guess it was a design choice to put as much as possible inside a 64k. Nicely done.

One of my party favorites and perhaps my new go-to example of a cutting-edge 64k. Polished to perfection indeed. This will see many, many, many replays from me in the years to come.

Lovely looking and especially sounding. I would've liked a bit less content and more... I don't know, build-up? It's a bit hard to get into because it's just so much stuff. The abstract scenes work better for me than the "PBR demo geometry" scenes.

to me best PC 64kib this year. The rendering is so clean. And you can't go wrong when you wake up our nostalgia with a tape! :)
To be honest this didnt grab me 100%. While the rendering and the sheer amount of scenes is top notch, the intro as a whole didnt build up to anything (or i might have missed it).
Kind of like flipping through a high gloss catalogue vs. reading a good book - which your last intros were.
Maybe the style switch was just a little too much for my wasted brain :)

It takes a great amount of skill and chuzpe to make 'object in the middle' intros work nowadays. Fortunately, this is all crafted with such care and smoothness, accompanied by an outstandingly catchy track. My favorite of the party, en par with Ephemeral.

Love it! Just slick from start to finish. Added bonus is I can actually run this real time on my now ageing 1060. Musically I'm an absolute sucker for this kind of style and gargaj's nailed it perfectly. Easily my favorite soundtrack to a cns demo ever.

An additional comment, it seems to follow the FLT/CNCD, Number One/Another One school of "we're just gonna throw a shit ton of content at ya". But it works, especially with the nice soundtrack and simple backgrounds.

While the rendering, music and amount of content is excellent the final result is hollow and without any direction. Looking at the positive responsive I am surely missing something.
Holy f&*king sh!t. That really was amazing. I watched it from my main graphics card at the studio with the sub cranked. Twice. Jaw dropped at the sheer amount of geometry, amazing tune and beautiful rendering. Thanks for the AMD fix too - it ran perfect on a Ryzen9/RX6800. Hope to see you all again in the next couple of years... and the world will be back in-person again one day! (thanks for the greet) Take care! Keep being awesome.

This is obviously massive. So much content, so good-looking, so many things to see, so very "demoscenish". But at the same time, that sort of feels like a constraint as well. My mind is constantly looking for a deeper meaning into it, something to hold on to, to attach meaning to. And it's not there for me. It's just very pretty. Perhaps that is a statement too.

Exactly what Preacher said. The quality and amount of content is staggering, but there's no real point to it - it's just pretty, but damn that it is.
Kinda the counterpoint to Deus Cervidae which has a solid theme holding things together but doesn't excel as much in the polish department. Both are choosing a different direction and each is great in its own right.

I do not mean naked ladies (although you can find plenty of demos with those as well), but the very approach of salivating over perfect objects. This particular collection of objects is pretty close to a perfection. It is tastefully inter-textual. I am not sure when exactly scene got so big on small filesizes, but this kink is also catered for here.
