Origins of the JML logo.

I thought it would be a nice idea to open a thread about it. Can't imagine visiting a random political site and having a great laugh by associating with the Jumalauta logo :)
What do you say?
The fist logo is long associated with political causes.
But in scene-terms, LSD got there first ;-) Check out the intro in LSD docs disk #44:

No no... We invented the fist. It's been Jumalauta-logo since the dawn of time. Then some lamers stole it for their political causes.

teel: get real, you sad ass..
not having a sense of humour is what's really sad ;)
No, I'm absolutely serious. Evidence!
The first fist symbol was designed by Harvard students, and it was initially used on the flyers of an anti-war demonstration in 1969. Go google for more infos.
As far as I am awared, this particular logo appeared for the first time around 1998, on the flyers of a Serbian democratic (anti-Milosevic) youth-movement called Otpor! (it means Resistance!, btw). However, some sources say that Otpor actually adopted and redesigned the original "Harvard strike" symbol...
yeah, well, the googling "revealed" that fists were used as symbols for resistance etc even before harvard students :)

Mea culpa, hereby I excuse myself :)
I was reading about the origin of the fist symbol of "Otpor" on Serbian language, and the author confused me with not-so-obviously referring the Harvard strike's fist to the origin of the Otpor's fist... Well, whatever, like you mind anyway... :)
